This one has been on my list for a good year now, but CZ doesn’t seem to produce many of them. In fact, this is the first I’ve ever seen in person. In the rare instance they pop up on GB they bring well over MSRP. Most of the time, there aren’t any for sale.

I’m a big fan of the CZ Orange pistols and now own them all. The TS2 Orange has the same hand fitting as the Shadow 2 Orange. It also has new slide serrations and a repositioned thumb safety. However, the biggest feature of the TS2 Orange is the thick bull barrel, which is a first for CZ.

Unloaded weight is a whopping 50.5 ounces, so it’s a very heavy pistol and a good 3+ ounces heavier than the original TS Orange. Obviously the bull barrel is part of that. The SAO trigger breaks at a very light 1.75lbs on average. While I feel it’s a good trigger, it’s not a great trigger. It has a little too much mush and not a super positive reset. The older TSO is the same way. However, I admit to being a total trigger snob and you may feel the Tactical Sport trigger is outstanding.

The finish is what CZ calls black Polycoat, which is the standard CZ finish these days. It seems good enough for the CZ market.

Quality wise, it’s very nice by CZ standards. I’m not big on the MIM parts or the cast frames, but it’s all very well fit with excellent attention to detail. CZ has come a long way over the years and the Shadow 2 Orange and this TS2 Orange are without a doubt, the finest pistols CZ ever produced. From what I gather, the hand fitting on the Orange models is done by KMR Arms in the Czech Republic. Of course this is hush-hush at CZ. I’m all for it, because they seem to build some very nice CZ clones (not imported to the US) :(

Pistols – KMR Precision Arms

At any rate, I’m looking forward to shooting this. As mentioned above, the heavy bull barrel is a first for a CZ pistol and it really seems to give this pistol some character and stability. I can’t wait to get it to the range.

Does anyone else have one of these yet? They have been like hen’s teeth. CZ pumped out the Shadow 2 Compact with conviction, but these are nowhere. Not sure if that has to do with KMR being involved or not, but these have been nearly impossible to find.

At any rate, please enjoy the pics and share your thoughts.

Thanks! :D

Here it is with my TSO, which uses the old frame and slide.

Here it is with my other CZ Orange pistols.

Just recently got a CZ Shadow 2 Blue added to the stable… love it

Recently, I bought a CZ TS2 Orange in Europe. I will need to wait until I can pick it up after I get the second licence.

It has the serial number close to the one in the first post. Interestingly, mine has different mag base pads.

I had two of them to choose from. The second had a much further serial number, but the frame had the quality I didn't like. It looked cast instead of milled (or forged). The engravings of the frame looked cast, too. Also, the edges seemed not sharp and not so straight. However, the mag pads were like the ones in the first post.

Well all CZ frames are cast, but they do a good job with them.

If you want a forged frame, get an A01 pistol from CZ Custom. They are a notch above CZ pistols from a quality standpoint.

Whoops lol the tso. It’s what I currently have and I want another set up with a threaded barrel. Trying to decide with trying a ts2o or just getting another tso
They use different frames, but they are the same size as far as I’m concerned. They use the same aluminum grips, take the same magazine, etc.

The TS2O is a few ounces heavier, if that matters at all.

Just found this thread. Beautiful pistol!
Having just bought my 2nd CZ pistol, a Shadow 2 Urban Grey, I am very interested in this new TS 2 Orange. I have an original Tactical Sports, from around 2014, I believe. I upgraded the original plastic trigger to the CZ aluminum (?) flat trigger. While better, it still is very creepy, but breaks pretty well at 1 lb 8 oz or so. That, and I upgraded the fixed (really, on a match pistol?) rear sight to their adjustable sight for that model. Overall, not a bad pistol. But the grip is very large, and while I have very large hands (wear xl gloves), I have a hard time reaching the safety. And the safety was never very easy to activate. Still isn’t. I’ve read that the new TS 2 O has a smaller, shadow 2 like grip frame. Don’t know! But I want it.

Well you can’t cheat physics. The TS (and TS2) uses a larger frame and uses both a longer and thicker magazine. The Shadow 2 uses a standard CZ75 mag. It’s a bigger gun

You are not the only person that finds the safeties on the CZ line not perfect. It's particularly bad if you have smaller hands like myself.

Freaking gorgeous! Congrats!

They have one that's a .40sw on there for $800(so far), the owner said he's put around 1,200 rounds through it. Thinking about getting it, but I'm wondering how many rounds can I put through it before I have to replace the barrel?
A long long time
