This one has been on my list for a good year now, but CZ doesn’t seem to produce many of them. In fact, this is the first I’ve ever seen in person. In the rare instance they pop up on GB they bring well over MSRP. Most of the time, there aren’t any for sale.

I’m a big fan of the CZ Orange pistols and now own them all. The TS2 Orange has the same hand fitting as the Shadow 2 Orange. It also has new slide serrations and a repositioned thumb safety. However, the biggest feature of the TS2 Orange is the thick bull barrel, which is a first for CZ.

Unloaded weight is a whopping 50.5 ounces, so it’s a very heavy pistol and a good 3+ ounces heavier than the original TS Orange. Obviously the bull barrel is part of that. The SAO trigger breaks at a very light 1.75lbs on average. While I feel it’s a good trigger, it’s not a great trigger. It has a little too much mush and not a super positive reset. The older TSO is the same way. However, I admit to being a total trigger snob and you may feel the Tactical Sport trigger is outstanding.

The finish is what CZ calls black Polycoat, which is the standard CZ finish these days. It seems good enough for the CZ market.

Quality wise, it’s very nice by CZ standards. I’m not big on the MIM parts or the cast frames, but it’s all very well fit with excellent attention to detail. CZ has come a long way over the years and the Shadow 2 Orange and this TS2 Orange are without a doubt, the finest pistols CZ ever produced. From what I gather, the hand fitting on the Orange models is done by KMR Arms in the Czech Republic. Of course this is hush-hush at CZ. I’m all for it, because they seem to build some very nice CZ clones (not imported to the US) :(

Pistols – KMR Precision Arms

At any rate, I’m looking forward to shooting this. As mentioned above, the heavy bull barrel is a first for a CZ pistol and it really seems to give this pistol some character and stability. I can’t wait to get it to the range.

Does anyone else have one of these yet? They have been like hen’s teeth. CZ pumped out the Shadow 2 Compact with conviction, but these are nowhere. Not sure if that has to do with KMR being involved or not, but these have been nearly impossible to find.

At any rate, please enjoy the pics and share your thoughts.

Thanks! :D

Here it is with my TSO, which uses the old frame and slide.

The wait is over - congrats on finally landing one. Over the years, I’ve become a big fan of bull barrels as opposed to bushings, particularly with 9mm handguns. Given the weight of the gun and such a light trigger, I suspect you can run that thing with blistering speed. It seems an ideal gun for a falling steel match. If the length of travel to reset is fairly short, having it be somewhat vague, or less pronounced, isn’t much of an issue for gun designed to be run fast.

How do you like the shape of the trigger compared to the longer curved trigger? I put one of the flat faced triggers in a CZ75B and it proved to be a mistake, as the trigger was then too short for my liking. The TS2 Orange seems to be between the flat faced trigger and the curved trigger. I’d have to get my hands on it to see how I like it.

The gun seems very nice - enjoy!

Out of curiosity how many guns do you own if you don’t mind me asking. That is very nice.

Honestly I don’t know exactly.

However, I’m a quality over quantity guy. I’d rather have less and be sure they’re the best I can own rather than just a bunch of ordinary models.

Thank you my friend.

I actually find this trigger profile comfortable. I prefer a flat trigger on a 1911 or 2011 as well.

I like the shape and feel of flat triggers, but given my hand size I need them to be longer in some guns. The flat trigger in my CZ75B resulted in the trigger being too short. I had to get deeper on the trigger and bend my finger more than I preferred. It looked like I was pointing at myself by the time I broke the shot. 🤣

That is a nice looking pistol. CZs shadow line is a wonderful stock pistol. Shows that a good competition gun can be produced in mass production.

Beautiful Brian and congrats on finally hunting one down. Looking forward to hearing your shooting impressions.

By chance do you know if there were any more of these or S2 Orange in their stock? I’d like an unfired shadow 2 Orange. I also am looking for a Ts2 racing green. CZ likes to make their higher end models scarce for some reason.

I didn’t see any other CZ’s there except for an AccuShadow 2, which is an awesome pistol as well.

They are a fantastic pistol for sure. I’ve just shot my orange s2 so much id like to get one and leave it unfired. I’ve been trying to get a racing green ts2 forever and I can never find one. It’s so frustrating that they make their products unobtainable.

I had a Racing Green model. Cool pistol, but this TS2 Orange is definitely better.

The Green has a thumb rest, metal trigger, and adjustable sights over the standard TS2. No hand fitting. No Bull barrel

I would like to find either of them to be honest. I’ve giving up hope on the ts2 orange as I’ve only come across a .40 cal once and I don’t collect 40 (nothing against it). At this point I’d take either. I just don’t want a basic ts2 blue.

Glad you found it, really rounds out the collection

A little "blingy" for my tastes, but hey, this is America, so choices
