One of my sons has a 43X. I am amazed at how easy it shoots and how accurate it is. As one with a lot of experience behind a Glock 17 and a Glock 22 there is one thing I have noticed. The 43X requires copious amounts of lube.

He cleaned it and did not lube it. It was so dry it was seizing up and was hard to field strip. Once it was wet with CLP, it broke down every time.

This is not a gripe just my experience.

The 43X handles a lot like the 19, IMO. I don't find it snappy or uncontrollable and it's just as accurate at conventional distances.

As for lube, I would disagree that it needs "copious" amounts. I treat it the same as any other, and I've put quite a bit of use on the 43X. Seems every bit as robust and reliable as any other Glock.

Congratulations on acquiring a 43x. The slimilines are great addition to the Glock lineup.
My Glock experience is limited to the 43x and 48 but fairly extensive with those pistols.
When I got my 43x which was the first, I did the "25¢ triigger job" on it before put the first round through it. Obvioulsly one would make sure it was clean and lubed before putting it all back together. For the most part I never had a single issue with it (some exceptions, but not relevant to this discussion).
A Glock is designed to run fairly dry, but not unlubed entirely. As far as "seizing" could you be more specific as to what that means? Depending on the issue and if it corrects after lubing it may be one of those issues that need to be fixed by Glock. The slogan "Glock Perfection" are just words as good percentage of Glocks aren't quite perfect out of the box. I've had pretty good luck with what I was sent with my 43x and 48 and after some polishing fiddling and testing there is nothing else in a 9mm that I'd need.

glocks should be very intolerant of people forgetting lubrication. was just on the range friday night with the mayor and he said he hasn't shot his gun in a year and should he clean it. i took out my 43x mos and showed him how linty it was from pocket carry. i shoot a minimum of 100 rds through it a month and haven't cleaned or lubed it all year. shot just fine. so did his 43x. i did teach him how to field strip it, clean and lube and told him he should be good for another year. lol
ymmv

Yeah... Depending on the way the OP's gun seized it may need to go back to Glock to bring it up to "perfection".

More info from my son. He bought a 43X frame and took the slide off of his 43. That could be the issue or a bent frame rail as another alluded too. I slathered it with oil abd it works fine.

I like the concept and may get a 43 or 43X for myself. I’ve always carried a 22 or 17 IWB in all types off weather——for 30 years. Looking at the plain ole 43 for pocket carry.

Thanks to all for your time and input.

There is definitely something wrong with that gun. My two 43X's operate just like my other Glocks.

that was my experience with my G43x.

i keep it very dry for the 1st 500 rounds. Had all kinds of FTF malfunctions.

after a good cleaning and a fair amount of lube. All was well.
