Anyone have personal experience with this pistol? Is it worth the extra money over the 92FS?

If you plan on ever using a suppressor and you really like FDE, sure.

Otherwise for the money I'd probably spend a few hundred more and go Langdon Tactical at that point.

92X RDO FS gets you most of those features in black for about 300 less.

92A1 will save another hundred or so if you don't plan on mounting an optic.

A regular 92FS, no optic cut, non replaceable front sight and no rail would save almost 50%.

You can't really go wrong with any of them though.

Love mine. Favorite range gun these days. And I do not like the 92fs. Well worth the price for the upgrades it has.
The a4 over the 92fs fixed all my problems with the original.
I hate slide mounted safeties, the decoct only is great.
The trigger is significantly better, several pounds lighter. I believe the "D" spring comes factory
The grip is more comfortable.
Its a suppressor host for me, runs 100% with a can, my tilt barrel pistols sometimes hiccup, the Beretta does not.
I really like the look, that is very subjective though.

I got one and it’s a reliable suppressor host when used with a pistol booster. Unfortunately, it’s loud compared to other hosts. It’s quieter when ran w/o a pistol booster and direct threaded. However, it’ll malfunction with heavier silencer’s.

Feels really good in my hands and love the grips. Trigger is good for a duty gun. Very similar to my Sig P226 TacOps.

It appears that the sights can be replaced. Is that correct?

I'm a big Beretta fan. My first ever pistol was a 92G Elite. For a while, I toyed with the idea of adding an M9A4, mostly as a suppressor host and just to have another Beretta in the stable.

Instead, I ended up jumping on a sale for an LTT 92X Performance and couldn't be happier. For my purposes of a range gun and occasional competition shooter, this thing is amazing. It weighs a freaking ton so there's zero muzzle flip, and LTT's trigger job is by far the best trigger I have on a pistol. The LTT crew knows their way around a Beretta.

I still want to get the M9A4 and probably will one of these days as funds allow. I'm sure you'll be happy with yours!

I had ordered a 92FS back in May and had made arrangements with FFL to pick it up the Friday before Mother's Day. Mind you, my wife never goes anywhere with me. Just so happened she decided to go with me that day. I had to do the old, I got you a Mother's Day gift for you, and I have to pick it up. I took one for the team. She was so excited to get it, that I didn't even feel guilty about the white lie I had told her.

This is still my favorite Beretta, and I have owned 29 Beretta 92 variants over the past 30 years.

This M9A3 is from the first batch of them ever released... And, the only 1 batch made in MD before they shut down the factory and moved to MD.

At the time, a Beretta employee was on the Beretta Forum. He admitted that they did some work on the trigger on these. Best factory trigger I've ever had on a Beretta.

Factory DA breaks at 7lb 6oz, and the SA breaks at 3lbs 6oz. Just dropping in a D spring on a regular Beretta does not get you those pulls (I put a factory D spring in all my other Berettas, so I know). Plus, I have compared the feel of the break. Not grit or roughness at all. Breaks very clean.

I have one and really like it, but it had teething pains. I had a weird malfunction where if I decocked and fired da/sa, da would fire, light strike on sa. If I just racked slide and started sa it would work. Strange but it happened a lot. Also, magazine release was super stiff, and even if I jammed hard on it, it wouldn't drop free. Sent it to Beretta, and they sent it back saying my gun was too dirty and had gunk in it that required a detail strip and that the magazine release was "in spec" and required no work. Since then hundreds of trouble free rounds, suppressed and unsuppressed. The mag release? Took out the plastic Beretta one, put a steel Wilson in, and it works super smooth with very positive ejection.

So, am I mad a new gun came so dirty that it needed a detail strip and had a cheap plastic part? Yes. Is it my most reliable suppressor host and an awesome range gun now? Also, yes.
