I will just lube the moving parts adequately and shoot some M-80 through it. I may do that fire 1, then swab out the barrel, fire another, then swab out the barrel, fire one, then swab ou......procedure.
I'll just do like I have with the other AR's to date, and if it isn't up to my standards, I'll see if Ruger will trade me into an AR 15.
About how I do it with any new gun. Only have a few hundred Winchester 147 grain stuff left but I’ll break it in with those. Have to see what I have on the shelf for powders.

Mine had some cycling issues, but fired a 4 7/16" rested group at 200 yards (40/40 1X, SR 42.) It just feels kind of tight. I took it down and checked the gas system, swabbed out the barrel, lubed up the mechanism pretty good and put it all back together. It loosened up some in the first 20 rounds I fired, hopefully it gets to being fully reliable in the next couple of range trips. I think this SFAR is badass! Just may take a little bit to get good n "shot-in!"

My next door neighbor bought one last month. So far he's ran
120 rounds of ball thru it to get the thing to go a full magazine.

First day we had it out, couldn't run 3 rounds w/out having to
pogo stick it to eject. He took it home doused it with Rem-Oil
and let it sit a couple days. Then he finally got it to run a mag
with the chamber wet.

I'm not buying the POS until about a year after they've been
on the market locally. If it's a good gun the Beta testers will
tell us know by then. And that's sad because it feels really good
in the hand.
Ruger updated the gas system.

Mine would stop on its way back to battery- with a cartridge just starting to feed. Did that several times. I'm going to load my own for the next outing. Starting load and tight new rifle should make it very interesting!

6/19/23: Turns out the problems I was having were caused by that weak WWB ammo short-cycling the bolt carrier. Fired some of my own reloaded ammo today and the rifle cycled without any further issue.

Those that have them ,what optic or scope are you using. I thought about getting one .
I was thinking 3-9X40 or 1-8X24.
I'm using a Sig MSR 10X. I've got @ 500 rounds through mine, all on setting 2 since new...zero issues. No malfunctions, gas block not touching rail, etc....maybe I got a "Tuesday morning" gun.

Make sure you take that regulator plug out and clean it every time. I cleaned up the bcg and swabbed out the barrel back in the summer, but left the forearm on and regulator alone. When I pulled it all down last Saturday, I had to soak it with solvent a couple days to get the thing out!
Not sure how I did that. Honestly, I think I just forgot about having to do it!
