Huh. Never had a Taurus, or even looked into them much. I guess they've been improving the last few years?

I like my XDME 4.5 10mm... but I like DA-SA too...

Yeah but for the most part aside from 2-3 models you still have to ask.. worth the risk or not?

And ive had and have Taurus and dont bash guns ive never had a issue with so I cant bash them.. but as a for instance here..you ask used 10 MM XDME(if you could find one) or new Taurus..and see if anything else in the range is around $$ wise

So at $420-450 is there another 10MM available? how much did you want to get "into" 10MM shooting vs risk of new Taurus model....

From what ive seen for the most part is you need to spend at least DOUBLE the asking price on the Taurus to get a 10MM so if youre a person that wants a 10MM and is willing to take the risk of a Taurus that costs 1/2 the price of a typical 10MM.....

In 6 months they will be $375
And most of use are not privy to blue label pricing ..
Im glad that they offer the program though

My summer primary carry is a GX4 …my home owner chore pistol is a G3X
Absolutely great running pistols
No not a Glock .. but for my use .. a pistol that stays out of a safe .. so far 100% reliable

Seems like everyone one is coming out with a Polymer framed 10mm
I own a Glock 20 SF ofter than real sights and different RSA its stock …
And I own a SA XDM E compact .. a definite upgrade from the Glock 20 and the Glock 29
I sold my 29 to fund the XD
Hopefully PSA will offer a Dagger in 10mm , should already come upgraded with slide options and such like the rest of the Dagger lineup …

Have been looking for the Croatian-made Grand Power 5” 10mm GP 40L, but there aren’t any available that I can find.

The gun’s “rotating barrel” feature and its quasi-CZ ergos peeked my interest, as did the fact that it comes with three 14-rd mags in the box.

I'd much rather see them make a single action double stack polymer gun that could be carried cocked and locked. And offer a 5 1/2 inch version as well, a size that would be in between a Glock 20 and a Glock 40 that's faster out of the holster and on target for bear defense and still has an extra inch an d half of barrel for more velocity.

Over the years, Taurus has come up with some innovative designs I found very appealing. Usually they were fixed sight large caliber revolvers with short barrels. I once owned a Judge Public Defender and PT145, both worked OK. The Judge PD was actually pretty well executed.

I shot, fell in love with and nearly purchased a 5" Raging Bull in 480 Ruger. I fired three cylinders of max H110 loads using a 405 grain WFN bullet and couldn't seem to miss a coffee can at 40 yards.

But friends of mine have had QC/CS nightmares with Taurus, which tells me much of what I read on the web isn't just brand bashing.

I keep hoping Taurus will get its act together and maybe these new 45/10mm pistols are where it happens. I'm looking forward to reading a credible review of them.

That’s actually an additional benefit of the 10mm cartridge, at least when shooting the undiluted itineration.

Real 10mm will expose design flaws or cause cheap, marginal components to fail in a very short time span. Often inside 50 hot (full-power) rounds. Not just frame or slide damage due to under-springing, or feed-failures due to weak mag springs, but things like grips cracking or sight components being launched hither & yon.

That’s why gun manufacturers need to build any 10mm handgun up to the fullest energy capabilities of the 10mm cartridge.

I am tempted to get a TH45 and pound it with 45 Super until something breaks, then saw it in half and sell the surviving parts on Gunbroker.

I'd say it's worth the chance, especially if you like the GX4 & G3C. Is there any rear mounted decocker?

Not a 10mm, but I was looking for an affordable hammer fired pistol that wasn't a 1911. I ended up picking up a TH9c. Great little gun, about the size of a G19 I think. If there is any issue with it, it is that the rail needs a light or laser with a very small footprint. I ended up using an oLight PL-2 Mini Valkyrie. I would try one in 10mm but I need to track down a Raging Hunter in 460 XVR first.

Can we have input from people who have actually owned the firearm and report accurately? This second hand supposition is stupid and worthless conjecture based on presupposed biases. Oh wait, I actually own a Taurus g3 and it works and runs just as great as my sw mp 2.0 4". The trigger is different with a LOT of take up, distinct wall, and crisp break. Zero malfunctions. If your going to shoot over 5,000 rounds, then perhaps go with something super expensive so you can save your money from being the replacement $30 part. Taurus is great. Try shooting one first before getting online opinions. Or buy one for $250 like me and not regret the decision.

I was sorta hoping you fellas who purchased one of these TH Series pistols, would give us a range report soon.

I'd particularly like to know if the 10mm version will run on 40 like its Austrian counterpart.

Well after my experience this morning with the new TH45 I'd say you'd be smart to wait. I had nothing but jam after jam with several different brands and bullet weights. Most common were 3-point jams but also had many nose-dive in the mag jams with JHPs. Also the slide failed to strip a round reliably until at least half the mag was fired. Thought maybe it was weak-ish ammo as I had 200 reloads with me but nope, it did the exact same using Factory +P ammo. Struggled to get through 300 rounds and half way through I gave it a quick clean/lube just in case I get some BS about a break-in period from Taurus. It's a shame since I have a TH40 and a TH9 that have been flawless from day one and countless rounds through both.
