I don’t believe Glock will introduce a new gun in 40SW although it would safer a bet than a 45GAP or a 357SIG. I’m hoping that they’ll surprise everyone with the G50 a in single stack 50 A.E.
Well they did release the G22/23/27 in Gen5. I own the G23.5 MOS. I’m a fan. Recoils like 9mm +P using 180 gr HST.

Edit: Sorry misread the new gun part. Yeah, I don’t see that happening.

I wonder why Glock has never made a single stack .40? They've done it for the .380, the 9mm nato & the .45 acp.
Aren't the CA, DC, NY, & NJ magazine(10rds) for the G22 (.40S&W) single stack?

Because the .40 fad has been dying for years, plus a Glock single stack .40 will get extremely few sales outside of USA - Glock's market is heavily global, they aren't going to invest in molds, machinery, training, and new engineering just to appease the FOR-TAY crowd. They would much rather invest in products that make more sense with global adoption which is why they are working on that Glock AR for UK SOF competition right now, plus expanding Gen5 line. The topping on the cake is that all federal US LEOs have either transitioned to 9mm or are transitioning from .40 to 9mm, so even with US federal LEOs, .40 already has their foot deep in the grave.

All the comedy on here in the forums of all the people preaching .40 as the ultimate caliber is amazing. The good news is they cannot blame the 9mm folk anymore but instead the gun companies instead as barely anyone is releasing a compact/micro/pocket .40 nowadays, 9mm dominates.

Not sure if they are “single stack” but there the metal liner in the mag has an hourglass shaped funnel in it to reduce capacity.

Barring innovative recoil advancements, I'm skeptical of a 43X or smaller 40cal. I retain a few 40's and am very comfortable with 40 (9mm & 45 as well). There are complaints of the 43X in 9mm and recoil. I personally find the 43X easy to handle with duty ammo but others say it's too much.

Just me here BUT in a full size I do believe 40 and 45 offer advantages, albeit small ones over 9mm. But add a sub compact frame and those advantages, at least to me, diminish or disappear altogether. For me anyway!! G21 or G22 I can readily control follow up shots while moving on a silhouette target in the zone with reliable speed. 9mm is quicker but not by much. I can handle the 43X in a similar manner.

Where I get skeptical is could I do the same with a 43X 40 cal? I might not! I would love a 43X 40 with 10 rounds but that one would have to be shot and tested first to make sure as I just might not be able to dump 10 rounds in the zone with reliable speed. For my noodle this is where cal truly makes a difference, not so much the 9mm, 40, or 45 but the ability to handle it.

I'd like to see a G43X sized .40, they'd have to make the slide a little thicker like they did with Gen5 .40's to tame it down a bit but it's possible, just not likely.

Never say never, Glock tooled up to run Gen5 .40 slides that are unique only to the Gen5 .40 S&W models. Sure the 9mm dominates but it pretty much always has, that doesn't make the .40 or .45 dead or dying, just not as popular. 45 GAP is dead and 357 SIG is nearly there, it's dying, not the .40 S&W.

Glock probably looked at S&W Shield forty sales. Don't think so.
BTW, I had one with an aftermarket .357 Sig barrel.
It was a bit much with hot loads - sold it.
