You sound very sexist and such. ;)

Even wearing my cargo shorts, Hellcat is not a comfortable or easy pocket pistol. Furthermore, adding that kind of weight for those pockets are, it's clearly not ideal or comfortable banging on your leg.

Good day
Sticky front pocket holsters when carrying the gun fill out your front short's pocket, so there is no movement where it's banging against your leg.

I’m 6-2 and 190-ish and pocket carry everything I walk out of the house with. This includes the Hellcat Pro, 365 Macro, Glock26, Shield+ 9mm and 30sc, Glock 43x, etc(all with an optic).

Even the 10mm Glock 29 I just bought was concealed in my front pocket recently and nobody would have ever known I had it. It’s the clothing choices modern men are making, and we all know how feminine America has become in recent decades.
We can all choose what we wear, but only baggy, loose fitting, fairly sloppy fitting clothes could hold a G29 or G26 for me. Not saying you look loose and sloppy how you dress (your clothes may fit very differently), but that is absolutely NOT true for me. It is also possible you don't dress for the same sorts of events that I do. But baggy pants (slacks or shorts) are NOT appropriate attire for professionals in my field. And no matter how others' clothes fit and how many cans of beer others can may be able to fit in their pants, it doesn't work for me.

I have never been accused of being feminine before, but it doesn't bother me. All good!

It's technically possible that human beings come in different shapes and sizes and live their lives under different circumstances.

But it seems much more likely to me that anyone who doesn't do everything exactly the way I do it, must clearly be some kind of de-masculinized "modern" man who wears Nair-worthy short shorts every day.

I reject your theory.

First, what is wrong with one size fits all? After rejecting your theory, my only hope is that 34x34 jeans are the only size (one-size) Levi's chooses to keep selling going forward to fit everyone. Otherwise, I am going to be really irked! And Brooks Brothers won't have to tailor custom shirts for me anymore! I will send my universal size to them, so we can all FINALLY start wearing THE correct size!

Second, your mental imagery of Nair-worthy shorts for men made me pause as my brain tried to generate mental images (which I quickly decided wasn't something I wanted to invest mental energy on). Thanks for that little mind-worm!

I picked up a G42 a week ago. I love it way, way more than the LCP. Still pocket carries in jeans pockets. And, under a pound.

I can pocket carry my Shield Plus in my cargo pants, but it is heavy as hell in the pocket. This G42 is under 1pound loaded. And it is actually fun to shoot. I really hate shooting the LCP

I have a Kel Tec P32 (7 oz empty) and a P3AT (8 oz). Both have been totally reliable. I don’t even mind the tiny sights. They do well out to 10 yards…I can keep all shots on an 8.5”x11” sheet of paper offhand. That is enough for me to break contact when I’m by myself. As threat levels rise or when with family, I bring a bigger, badder sidearm. However, I still slip one of these tiny guns in a pocket as a backup…

I’d opt for neither and get a S&W 442 airweight.
I've been married to a 638 ever since Illinois got CC. Last week I got a G42. Man, I like that gun. IF it proves reliable I may carry it.

If trouble happens I want a real gun with me. IMHO real guns aren't the smallest guns. I'll make allowances. Were life to dictate I go about in a speedo I'd have at least a J frame in my clutch.:geek:🧜‍♀️

I had a G42 that I gifted to my son for his 21st birthday a few years ago, I actually do miss that lil gun and will probably get another in time, since I have plenty of 380 ammo on hand.

but, it’s hard to beat a j-frame S&W , that’s why they’ve stood the test of time.

I loved my J frames and am sure I have more time with a J frame in my pocket than anything else. As my eyes started to fad I needed something with better sights
The G42 with XS Big Dots works and matches the sight picture I have with other firearms.
The J Frame will always be a great weapon. For ME at this stage I am using the Glock.

Okay, the shoot-out was conducted.
The 42 shoots better for me, however... It is much larger and only holds 6 rounds.
The LCP Max is significantly smaller in every dimension, but holds 10 or 12!
The 42 is almost like shooting a .22lr compared to the recoil of the smaller LCP, but since my only real accuracy issue is along the vertical axis and that only an inch or so at 7 yards.
Therefore, I'm keeping the LCP Max.
I also had the opportunity to fire a Hellcat in 9mm, which is only a little bit bigger than the LCP, but a bit heavier. I found the recoil a bit harder to tame, specifially, it bit my little finger! If I only had one small pistol, I'd probably opt for the Hellcat, but moving between the 43X and the LCP Max covers all of my EDC CCW needs.

THis thread makes me want to shoot a G42 to compare to my LCP Max.
Give it a whirl. My Wife adores hers and is really good with it. I put the Magguts spring in her mags with a pearse extension so she can carry 7+1 with a completely full grip. If I even utter a word about her getting something else, I get a mean look. I enjoy carrying it as well. It's light, but feels and shoots bigger than it is. It isn't too much smaller than my Hellcat, but feels half the weight.

After reading this thread I know one thing. If I ever get an LCP it is going to be an early one because they are the smallest. And that is the only reason to have one. Because you want something SMALL.
That was the whole reason I wanted a 380 in the first place and somehow ended up with a Glock 42 🤣 happy I did it though

Yea I got to thinking. If the bad guys were after me, what would I rather have in my hand? A little gun that is hard to shoot, and that I hardly ever shoot. Or a big/little gun that is easy to shoot, and that I shoot a lot.
Then I went and bought the 42. I'll make concessions for it not being tiny.

Good for you! I feel the same. The only addition I would add is that I have the 365 and find it shoots softer than the Hellcat, so it would settle in between them.

But despite how much I like how well a G42 or G43 shoot, the size and capacity limitations do drive me to a P3AT/LCP size or Hellcat/365 size.

To each their own, but I feel similarly.
