I have an IMPD Glock, it’s in the safe, yes it’s Indianapolis Police marked in the serial number and prefix, I think IMxxxPD Gen 3 .40.
I gotta go run errands and have a VA Dr apt all morning.
I can check this afternoon.
IMPD carries Gen 5 G-17/19 M now.

PD marked guns do show up on the trade-in market.
Purchased a 22.3 from Kiesler Police Supply.
What I received was RC357SD.
Richland County Sheriff's Department.
Pretty cool for a Live PD fan.
Maybe Senior Deputy Garo Brown carried it?

That would be cool. Only way to know for sure is to contact him and ask him.

You could contact the training section, tell them you bought one of their old guns and see if they would research who it was last issued to and ask that Deputy to contact you. They probably won't but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Mentioned this before but my Gen 4 Glock 17 has the serial number prefix "ACME". Was actually on the fence about buying it, until I saw the label on the side of the box.
Must have been Wile E. Coyote’s gun

What does PD stand for?

How about: "I'M Pathetically Drunk".
