I compete USPSA with a Canik. However, there is no denying the CZ S2 is the king of the gamer guns until you get to open class.
You’re right, specifically what they’re made for. There is nothing wrong with Canik. I esp like the rival. The trigger are nice. I prefer PDPs but at that point it’s splitting hairs.

CGW does CZ chrome jobs. It looks to cost 500 or so to put the CZ s2 at what the Tanfoglio Stock Master comes with stock.

However…

I see the double actions are totally different with the Stock Master using a lifter that stacks the weight, stock. Fixable with more work than I want with all spring changes. Not an issue with the CZ.

hmmmm
I don't know anything about how Tanfo's are built. I know exactly 2 people who tried them, and both dumped theirs as a waste of money.
What I do know is that in nearly 40 years of military, private military contracting, and now international executive security I have never seen anyone professional carrying ANY model of Tanfo.
One guy I work with is from Italy. He carries a CZ-75. I met him when we were PMC's in Afghanistan in 2007, and he had the same gun on his hip then.
For work, I carry 1911’s, Glocks, or a Browning Hi Power.
Guys who stake their life on their weapons do not use Tanfoglio- they are guns for people and situations that have no risk involved because they do not stand up to real-world usage.
Buy the CZ and you will come out ahead in every respect.

Not that it matters for my choosing, but it appears many don’t know the CZ Shadow line is a copy of the Tanfoglio “Stock” line.
Not that it matters to your choosing, but the only original thing to come out of Tanfoglio is the decision to make one of their gun lines in polymer instead of steel or aluminum. They never had an original gun design ever- they copy expired patents, just like Taurus did for their first 20 or 30 years.

Yes his statement is totally wrong but he just likes to post strange things and blast CZ for some odd reason

I thought the Tanfoglio Match and Stock line came out before the SP-01 Shadow did.

Consider the Orange is fairly new. Stock 1 has been out for a very long time, and current Defiant frame is based off the Stock III. Old 2005 Tactical Sport CZ uses the large mag Tanfoglio created for it's large frame. So we know the Tanfoglio was used from CZ for that.

They were in the US before the Shadow was anyways.

Meh. Open to be wrong.

Thanks for the heads-up. I never paid attention to him before, but I see the tone now.
Are you referencing that I told a bunch of people that CZ Shadow 2 cracked frames and no one appeared to know about the relief cut CZ introduced to fix it?

Cause that is true.

I'm looking to buy. So...maybe go somewhere else? No one is requiring your opinion?

The sp01 was the original shadow line. Out before Tangfolios issue plagued clone. That’s why the current shadow line is called shadow 2. CZ improved on their own line and didn’t borrow from the italian copy cat.

I owned a base model steel tanfoglio many yrs ago. I really liked the gun except I couldnt get it to lock the slide back after the last shot. A buddy bought the same model and his always locked back . Go figure it was problably a simple fix but swapping mags didnt fix it so I ended up trading it off.
My CZ S2 has been spotless and its got close to 5k rds through it theres been times were ive burned through 1lb of powder before I would clean it.
Ive often considered picking up another Tanfo the elite limited in 38 super or maybe 10mm but from what ive read the recoil spring bed can peen but there's supposed to be fixes for that. If cz makes it in the caliber you want I would go that route if you wanting a different caliber 38 super, 10mm, possibly 45acp larger capacity then its the tanfo I would just do good research on any possible issues and fix's for such.

The Tanfoglio Combat or Standard, also known as T(A)95 or EAA Witness Steel, is a modified clone of the Czech CZ-75/CZ-85pistol. It is made in Gardone Val Trompia near Brescia, Italy by Fratelli Tanfoglio S.N.C.

They literally copy everything other companies do. I know that’s about the 75/85 but just to drive the point home that they don’t make new pistols.

Nobody requires my opinion just as nobody requires your false statements.
You're talking to guys who use firearms for a living, compete with them, collect them, invest in them, and use them to defend our and other countries. In other words, you're talking to a large body of tremendous knowledge and experience.
Do you honestly think you can start a borderline troll thread and not have multiple people call you on your BS???

I read on the internet that CZ aren’t made in Czech Republic plants any more but made by Colt factory with CZ markings stamped on them. What’s worse is that these parts aren’t milspec and subcontracted out.
Not doubting that since they bought them out but can you post the link? I’d like to read it as well
