I'm not into aftermarket this or that, aside of night sights. Tired of the stupid serrated trigger face on my G19 Gen 3, as my Security 9 and Sec 9 Compact have a wonderful flat face to the trigger.

I know these are out there, and I'd love to hear your recs on which to get. I've seen these are generally expensiver than I thought they'd be, so I'd love your thoughts. I just want a version of the stock trigger, polymer, without serrations. Nutnfancy.

I don't really need a trigger bar enhancement, unless that comes attached. What's a good flat, smooth, nice trigger shoe that still retains the dingus safety.

Thanks!

I own 4 gen 3 G19's they all have G17 smooth triggers. My wifes gen 4 G19, my G43 and G43X have Apex trigger shoes. The Apex is a very nice trigger and will run you around $80. A G17 smooth trigger will run you around $25. Both good options. I prefer to stay as close to OEM as possible. IMO, the Apex doesn't feel like I'm straying too far from that.

first thing I do with my 19’s is make sure they have a Gen 3 17 trigger in them.

I've been using Kineti-Tech brand trigger shoes on my Glocks for the past few years (5 or 6 years, I estimate).
These are made from aluminum, not polymer, however. There are four styles from which to choose. I've mostly used style #3.

Here's a polymer trigger replacement from TangoDown, although I've never personally seen one, which seems to meet the requirements in the original post:

I've been getting Glock OEM parts from ebay for a while. Haven't run into any problems but be prepared to pay extra for them.

$40 for a factory Glock trigger.

Hey, it beats the $75-100. Thanks man. I didn't check Ebay as they won't close my old account that was hacked and locked. I generally don't like or trust them at all, but the wifey will start an account I guess LOL

My personal approach: I take a file to any serrated trigger and knock down the harshness, or flatten it completely. Also make the center blade flush when pushed in, and round out the the tip.

Free and stays stock. Just be careful - can't put back material, but you can always buy a replacement.

Try the Overwatch Precision PolyDat. For $59.95 which includes the trigger shoe and polished OEM trigger bar, you won't be disappointed. For another $20 you can have the trigger bar with the NP3 finish. After putting one in my 43X, I can't imagine owning another Glock without one.

What you are looking for is both great and cheap. Johnny Glock $22 modified OEM trigger shoe
Like you, I hate the serrated OEM Glock Shoe. Johnny Glock sells a SMOOTH FACE Glock shoe that he modifies for comfort and performance. I have one of those and one of his $100 flat face trigger shoe. I also had an Overwatch Precision Poly DAT trigger which I just sold.

JG's modified OEM shoe features a shaved down, dingus that almost goes flush the the shoe yet remains 100% functional and reliable, plus an adjustable set screw to remove as much or as little pre-travel as you like. Both in comfort, performance and price, this shoe is hard to beat and seems to meet the requirement you list above.

I’ve tested Overwatch DAT, Apex and Overwatch Falx in my G43 rather extensively. I realized that I am not a big fan no flat-faced trigger. To me the nice curvature of the OW Falx trigger felt the best. All the trggers that I tested come with the OEM trigger bar (OW triggers come with the NP3 plated Glock factory trigger bar, which is nice). So, I had no reliability issues or concerns.

In the end, however, I went back to the stock trigger because the “serrated” trigger shoe does not bother me….

This is what I was after. I don't mind the curvature, but the serrations do bug me a bit. I know it's silly, but I also know I'm not the only one, as referenced here. $22 is exactly what I'm after. Thank you! I had considered taking mine down with my precision files but I might as well just order the smooth curved face.

Even more than the serrations, the Glock dingus is what irritated me. I felt like I was getting poked for a diabetes check on every round. What Johnny Glock has proven with his trigger shoes and the modification of a OEM Glock shoe is that the extended dingus of the Glock's OEM triggers is absolutely unnecessary. More arguably is the amount of slop Glock leaves in their take-up/pre-travel which Johnny provides a means of dialing out (or leaving as it would be stock).

Suarez makes a really nice flat face aluminum trigger shoe. Cheap too at 30$. Had the vickers shoe and it’s ok, but for the same price the Suarez is by far the better choice.
