What are your opinions of factory remanufactured ammo ? I've never used it. Would it be a better choice than steel case ammo ? It list for just a few pennies more than steel case . Which would you prefer,,the reman brass or the steel case stuff ?

I haven't bought any reman. Couple work buddies been buying reman for the past few months. They haven't complained and still have all their fingers.

I've been finding aluminum Blazer for $14.99 at Academy. I'll stick with that till brass comes down a bit.

Had some Winchester steel not too long ago. No issues with it.

I'm paranoid and I'll admit it.

I only shoot factory ammo that I don't reload for and I do good work if I do say so.

I don't do "reman" have no idea of the quality control standards. If you shoot any ammo from the majors and you believe some of their product damages your firearm, does something bizarre or hurts you, the majors will investigate that lot of ammo and will normally treat you properly and professionally.

Think a reman is going to own up to having made a defective product when the liability could easily bankrupt them? I don't think so and they almost certainly don't have the lab gear or engineering expertise to evaluate the issue even if they wanted to. Don

Neither, buy and use a premium ammo, or learn to reload quality ammunition emulating your carry rounds.

Sorry, but this is where most fall short, gun rich, ammo poor.

It depends on who makes it. I've tried different kinds that I've bought at gun shows and never had a problem but never had a problem with steel cased, either, except in 357 magnum with the cases expanding too much and having to beat the cases out of the cylinder with a wooden dowel. But no problems shooting steel cased ammo in out of a G19, G23, or G21 or a 1911.Pre-Gen 5 Glocks will feed any kind of ammo without any problems.

Interestingly, one batch of remanufactured ammo with mixed brass that I bought at a gun show had one steel case that that had been reloaded that the re-manufacturer somehow missed

I’ve had success with some remanufactured ammunition. Around 2015, I bought thousands of rounds, from Freedom Munitions. Multiple types and calibers. All of it among the most accurate ammunition I’ve found, for tactical training (running and gunning, not slow fire precision work). Since then, I bought more, but the last few years their prices were higher than “premium” ammo, so I went with that. Precision One and LAX also has very nice reman ammo. I’ve heard good things about Georgia Arms, but haven’t had any.

Freedom reman has been good for me too. Ive shot 9 and 223, accurate and reliable. When/if their prices come down i wont hesitate to buy more.

I use a LOT of the LAX remanufactured never had a dud or bad round yet in a minimum of 3500 rounds of it shot. as a matter of fact since its a bit less I actually buy it now almost exclusively they also make new and sell name brand but its slightly more. used i think Freedom also reman still good...

I have a 15,000 rd order in right now. 5k .40 and 10k .38. All practice ammo but I’ve used remanufactured ammo for 30 years with no issues.
