if you were to choose, which would be the all around pistol? G19 Gen 5 or the G45 Gen 5 and has anyone ever shot this ammo below? during these times you gotta take what you can get and I luckily walked into Bass Pro and this is what they had left in 9MM.. $20 bucks a box and I got 3, the worse is I could resell them as I am not sure of synthetic ammo.. Please advise, all perspectives are welcome.

Under the current circumstances, I would keep the ammo and use it if you need it. Personally, I won’t fire another round for anything other than defense or gathering food unless/until prices return to something resembling “normal”.

As for the pistols, I would take the Glock 45 over the 19 all day/everyday. I greatly prefer the full-size grip over that of the compact 19. The slightly shorter barrel is a negligible loss in velocity/sight radius to me. Honestly, when I made a decision between those two, I went for the Glock 17 over both.

My local store has a 17 MOS, a 19 and a 45 and I'm so torn between the 19 and the 45.. I like the 17 but its too much and I already have a full size 21 and a 22 on the way.

If you’ve already got a G21, and a G22, but don’t mind the grip on a G19... I would get the G19 for some variety and a slightly easier to conceal grip.

I really like my 19, I feel like as long as your pinky is on the grip your good to go. I shoot my 19 in uspsa and have no issues. Only reason for a full size grip is a full size gun if you ask me, but then again I never shot a 45 so maybe it does make a difference.
cool, but my pinky felt cramped on the G19...

Ty for your response, but is the 45 hard to conceal at all? how bad does it print?
Not at all when it's 65 degrees and lower. This Spring/Summer will be my first with it and I'll probably just switch back to my 19 for CCW. If I'd lose about 20lbs, I could probably conceal the 45 under a t-shirt pretty easily at the 1:30-ish position.

I'm working on the lbs, but Girl Scout Cookie season took a toll on my ever-present carb addiction.

LOL!! Girl scout cookies is for the Debil!!! lol

Ty for your feedback... this is a tough decsion. I held both pistols and the 45 just felt natural and comfortable.. I'm glad its still at least listed as a compact pistol.

You're right. Plus my daughter is a Girl Scout and my wife is their Troop Leader so it's like having AA meetings at the liquor store, lol.

It is a tough decision.... I love the way the 19 feels/shoots, but I probably enjoy the 45 even a bit more.... that's a tough call. I don't think you'll go wrong either way.

LOL!

I appreciate your feed back.. I wear a 2XL gloves to ski and ride my harley. I'm leaning more toward the 45 but still a tough call.. if the 45 was listed as a full size its a no brainer to roll 19
