Can anyone confirm whether an OEM Sig P232 .380 7rd mag will fit in a Sig P230?
I have tried the search engine without success.
Many thanks for any input.

The difference is in the addition of the drop safety (along with minor cosmetic changes in cuts, grips, sights, etc.). Mags will work fine.

I love this gun! It has such a beautiful shape. Love it!!!

as mentioned above the mags fit the same (I have two stainless OEM P232 magazines in addition to my OEM blue'd P230 mags)...

...and some of the late P230s (mine was last year made) have the rebounding hammer/automatic firing pin block

Not cheap or easy to find extras these days.
I have been looking for one for a friend and found one only for a Sig p232 (hence my question) hidden behind lots of others at my LGS, price $59.95. The price tag said p232 but the packaging had the upc number on it for the p230.
Again, many thanks to all for their comments. My friend is very pleased.

They are functionally identical but cosmetically different. The P230 magazine has a silver bottom; P232 is black if memory serves me correctly. They were never cheap [emoji106]

230/232 came in both a stainless steel frame and slide in silver, These got stainless magazine bodies and silver colored base plates.

There was also a blued lightweight version.

These got the blued magazines and black bottoms.

Other than coloring, they are identical.

It’s been a while but In MA only the stainless P232 was allowed for sale I’m pretty sure, the state’s approval process was so onerous they never got the blued one on the approved list. The only mags I have gotten subsequently that were new had black bottom. They work great but my spouse keeps reminding me those are her’s [emoji41]

You summed it up with a single word.... Promag.

My family motto is... they won't let another family member buy Promag.

They are cheaper.... but, you get what you pay for.
I agree that Promags are bottom tier but no one else makes P230/232 mags. Sig stopped making the mags a long time ago. Used Sig mags sell on eBay and GunBroker for around $70-80.
