I carry a G19.5 in an alien gear iwb holster, it's very comfortable, but the AG is "big". Can anyone recommend a good "smaller" iwb holster for this gun? I carry in the 4-5 o'clock position, Rt side.

Thoughts?

So many choices and what is comfortable for you is different than what is comfortable for me. That said, Vedder, Galco, and FIST are my go to brands. I bought a holster off eBay for $15 and it is an off brand yet is carried often. Go figure...

Thanks for the info I had tried Vetter at one time but just couldn't get it to feel comfortable. I know many like them, but it just didn't work for me. They were great about it though, and took the holster back with a full refund. Good people, unfortunately, it just didn't work out for me.

For the last 15 or so years, I've used this Taruis holster. It's about as minimal as you can get.

YMMV.

I've tried (and have) lots of holsters for a number of pistols - from a lot of the "name" manufacturers (off the top of my head: vedder, comp-tac, multi, milt sparks, desantis, DARA, JM custom Kydex, Bravo, galco, SCK, tulster and.........). I'm 6 ft 1 and 175, so being on the slender side I am sensitive to printing at 3:30-5 o'clock. For IWB kydex I need some sort of "wing/claw" to help pull butt/grip into my side. Or, I recently found the Bravo Concealment (BCA) torsion 3.0 does that without the "wing/claw". For me the BCA torsion works the best and is very minimal in design. My other IWBs do work (vedder, SCK etc) but I find the BCA the most comfortable partly due to no "wing/claw". But given the size & weight of my G19, I tend to carry it OWB more often that not. It would be worth you looking at any of those that I've mentioned to see if any fit your particular needs and situation.

Personally, 4-5 o'clock doesn't work for me. But if I was going to carry at the 4-5 position, I'd look to Milt Sparks first. Their SS2, I have experience with, and I do like the holster, although I do not like the 4-5 position for which it's designed. (They also make some other models but I have no experience with them.)

Have you looked at TT Gunleather or Milt Sparks?

The bottom two (middle and right) are both TT Gunleather for G19 size:

You might take a look at the Raven Morrigan. It's somewhat minimalist kydex holster with adjustable cant and pull-the-dot snap loops. You can play around with placement and orientation without breaking the bank. I've found I prefer the INCOG Eclipse (butt pulls in a bit closer) but it cost twice as much and uses expensive clips.

I'm going to follow the replies to this as well.

Only mine's a slightly more difficult gun to find holsters for Gen 5 19... With RMR, supressor-height sights, and a threaded barrel. And I REALLY would like to be able to install pull-the-dot loops on both the OWB and IWB holsters that I do invest in.

And I'd rather not pay $80 for it - especially when I need two holsters. But, I get that quality costs. And I get that companies gotta pay the bills. And I get that it's an investment... It's just shocking to me how expensive they are.

I use the stealth gear mini vent core. It has a smaller profile compared to most of that style holster and still supports a small to medium frame gun well.

I don’t prefer IWB but sometimes it’s the best option. I carry a G26 in mine.

Werkz "M" series for me.

I picked up one built for the Inforce APC light on my Sig P320cRX

Bravo Concealment Torsion - I have one for my 19.4 & one for my 26.5 even though the 26 will fit in the 19 holster. (I didn't want the little guy to get jealous, so I got him one of his own.) It's on sale right now. Quick delivery, quality product, reasonable price & IT WORKS. What's not to like? I know there are many other good choices out there, but I like this one.

Edited to add: The nice thing about the Torsion is that it accomplishes the same thing as the others without having a "claw".
