IWB in a kydex holster 3-3:30, seems to work well for me. Have a pocket holster but just can't feel any love for having my pocket full of something besides car keys, pocket knife and change. Have the Pearce +1 on my G43 mags but have not tried on the 42.

The G42 is a fair amount lighter and it should work for pocket carry, it's a whole 6 ounces lighter than the Shield and that's a big difference. It is not that much shorter though and I believe it's on the larger end of the pocket pistol spectrum when compared with some of the cheaper pistols. Carrying 14oz in a gym shorts pocket will still be awkward. Your satisfaction with it depends on your choice of clothing probably. I carry a Bodyguard 380, which is a tad smaller, and it prints when I wear pants that are closer fitting. I haven't had any reliability problems with it and it's done what I've needed it to but I would obviously trade it for a G42 if I had the chance.

Had an Alabama pocket holster, and found it to be a pile of junk. Trigger inexplicably not fully covered, magazine button not covered so magazines ejects into the pocket. Utter trash.
First time I've heard a complaint about them. I own many and they are always a perfect fit. Give them a call and they will make it right.

I emailed the owner to express my concerns and basically found that he was arrogant, stated his holsters were of sound design, although I strongly disagreed, and failed to listen (blew me off) to any constructive feedback I had to make his holster better. Oh well.

I told him that the magazine button needed to be covered with polymer so that the magazines don't get accidentally ejected into the pocket. He said that was not a concern. It happened to me (several times) so yes, it was a concern. He said if you cover the button with polymer, the magazine is more likely to be ejected into the pocket. That's news to my other kydex pocket holsters, that cover the button, as you can press down on the polymer over the magazine button, to the tune of 200 or 300 pound worth of pressure, and the button never gets pushed, ejecting the magazine. In fact, in the two months I carried his holster, the magazine was ejected into my pocket probably 5 times. In the 10 plus years I have carried other pocket holsters, the magazine has been ejected in to the pocket exactly zero times.

The G42 is my house gun. In the summer it rides around in the cargo pocket of cargo shorts. In the winter in a pocket of sweat pants. I change pants if I'm going out and switch to a Glock 26.

About 6 months ago I sprained my wrist, then sprained it again pretty badly. Since then when going out I've been wearing the G42 IWB. I did not think my wrist could handle the recoil of a G26, but the G42 has such light recoil I could handle that.

If I had one I would carry it OWB or IWB right hip. I prefer OWB but can carry my 709 Slim IWB in a carbon fiber no name holster I bought on Ebarf that is really well made.
But I don't have a G42. I intended to get one, when Cominolli offered a safety. But I was advised last week that although they said it was being developed for the past couple of years, they now say there will be no G42 or 43 safety. Time for Glock to step up and offer one. Or I will never have a G42 or 43.

Interesting to see that pocket carry is leading by a fairly significant margin.

Sigh. How is a gun, in a proper pocket holster, ever going to be unsafe and fire? It wont. You don't need a safety.

Carry it around for a few weeks with an empty chamber, and you will see that your fears are unfounded.

Wow I've never had that issue with any of mine. Was this a Glock you were carrying?

Doesn't the Kydex chafe?
