Many possibilities. BTW, pretty sure tongue studs are more than cosmetic, if you know what I'm saying.

Here's another pic in some natural light.
Comparing it to a factory black frame, I'd say it's a slightly (barely), more matte than Glocks black.
I really like this look. I may have to pick up some RIT and a cheap stainless pot. My wife would kill me if I used her good stuff for this. I assume I can do the mags as well if I remove the spring & follower?

Nice job on your RIT dye ...gun looks pretty good. A few years ago I was going to do something similar to my pocket-carry revolver and started off by submerging the gun in a bucket of water in the garage. Then I got distracted for 4 years and when I remembered the “unfinished project” I retrieved it. I’m thinking about trading it in on a Sig365 soon.
Use that for the next gun buy back in your area.

Possibly. The polymer might not be the same, at least on the base plate. I tried to dye the lanyard loop plug, but the dye wouldn't take on it, so I'm guessing it's different in some way. But if it doesn't work, it's the same as before you started.

I know this has been done before, and many will scream in terror at what I did, but I think it turned out great! I absolutely love how it looks with the slide!
Hey, it's your gun and you can do whatever you want with it. I also think that a little experimentation is fun. But, I somehow think that this method is going to have some quirks or shortfalls or else everybody would be doing it already. I hope that you will keep us posted with the longer term effects.

Will do!

Did it improve weapon performance, or is it a purely cosmetic and superficial alteration like tattoos, tongue studs, and nipple rings?
Answer: I am sure it improved the accuracy and the reliability. How could it not?

Ask stupid questions get stupid answers. I know possibly sarcasm question. But I just had to post this.
