G26 stock = 9 coil
G19 stock = 9 coil
G17 stock = 10 coil
I have Glock factory extensions +2 extensions on several G26 and G17 mags. No spring changes.
GLOCK recommends 11 coil on G17 with extension. G22 uses 11 coil part #2551.

I will review parts list but I have NEVER seen it listed to increase coil/spring on either G26 or G19.

GT Dist and Glock have best price on Glock extensions.
They require 2 pcs, part 7151 and 7165

I use them on every Glock magazine I own

Ok so far it looks like nobody has had any problems with the Glock Factory / OEM +2 extensions. That’s good news.

For those who have already chimed in... do you mind staying how many rounds you have used them for so far?

G26 stock mags comes with a 9 coil spring from the factory!
If you add a Glock 7151 + extension no needs to change the spring, 12 rounds will fit and work perfectly!

G19 mags mags comes with the 9 coil spring from the factory.
If you add a Glock 7151+ extension It will work, but I went with the 10 coil Glock spring and I like it more.

That's what I think too, regardless of what Glock says.

I agree with you guys about the logic of replacing the 9 coil spring with a 10 coil spring concerning adding a plus 2 extension onto the G19 magazine. Because now it’s a 17 round magazine, just like the G17 magazine, so by all means this seems the most logical way to go. And I may do so.

Now I’m just curious why Glock says it’s not required, maybe just cuz either will work fine.

Just got a quick question hoping some one can help me out well here goes. For example : If the glock19 (factory oem) spring is 9coils and glock17 (factory oem) spring is 10coils, and (ismi/wolf extra power spring) for glock19 is 10coils and for glock17 11coils. Wich one would I run on glock19mag with +2mag extension? Since it will technically be the size of a standard glock 17 mag with the +2 extension? The 10coil (extra power spring) is usually used on glock19 mags I know that... My question is would it be possible to run 11coil (extra power spring) in a glock19 mag equipped with a +2 extension and still get the intended 2 extra rounds?Any thoughts??

As already mentioned (here's the link to confirm it) the 26 and 19 come with the same springs in the magazines. So when you add an extension to a 26 there should be no need for a new spring. An extension on a 19 is your call, frankly I have never heard of anyone having problems with the stock one but since it will now hold 17 rounds a G17 spring would make sense. I tend to go with overkill myself, but that's me.

I don’t keep a log, but a couple hundred of rounds per mag is what I’d say. I’ve definitely used my 26 mags with the extensions more than my my 17 mags with the extensions.

NO! NO! NO! Unless it is for the range ONLY! At qualifications when the "Pierce Extensions" are used, they occasionally grenade apart all over the range if they are dropped on a hard surface (like the concrete range floor). It is embarrassing! Although not a frequent issue, one can also have the pleasure of having functioning issues like failure to feed with the lower spring tension on the last two rounds (I admit this is rare). **NOTE the FACTORY Glock 18 (+2) floor plates (this is the floor plate you will find on their 33 round happy sticks) will not come apart like the Pierce. This is not an impossible task if you want +2, You can buy the Factory 12 round magazine for your 26. The Factory Glock 12 Round mag not only has the Glock 18 floor plate, it also has a correct spring to compensate properly on the last two rounds! Glock also sells a KIT that includes their +2 floor plate and the correct sprig for your 26. SOOOOOOOO you can do it the correct way! Don't screw with a carry gun, do it the correct way!

Ok let me clarify.

Pierce plus 2 = NO GO

Glock +2 requires a strong spring to perfectly function - EXCEPT on the Glock26 which already has a strong spring in it.

So... if I wanna add a Glock Factory/OEM +2 on any other Glock magazine (G19, G17) I need to add the strong spring if perfect function is desired?

This is what you’re saying correct?

I will say the G19 magazine spring tension already seems weak and even more so with the +2 added.

I understand the G26 and G19 magazines use the same spring. So the G26 seems good to go with a +2 right off the bat.

See the reason I’m asking is because these will be for my carry guns (G19, G26), and I don’t wanna risk any functionality issues at all with this. Obviously I know I need to test function everything and I will. But if there’s risk to these +2’s not functioning perfectly I’ll
Just get G17 mags for my G19 and add a X-grip for cosmetics.

I have Glock factory extensions on my 26 mags for GSSF match shooting. Have personally shot matches with them for years with absolutely no issues. Have loaned them to other shooters for match use and have had no one report any problems. No spring changes at all.
Also use same extensions on G33 mags for recreational shooting. Again, no spring changes and no issues.

I use the pierce +1 & +2 with stock springs on my G26,G27, G42, G43. I do not know my round count other than a whole lot. Never had a Problem with any of them. I like giving that pinky finger a place to sit. I normally just use a G17 mag in my carry. The X-Grip takes up the added space in length. And a +4 on my G43 with a replacement spring that comes with purchase. But it does depend on what your wearing. Majority of the time just shorts and T-shirt.

Hey guys. I wanna add the plus 2 extensions onto some of my 9mm double stack magazines, specifically the g26 and the g19 magazines.

1.) Anyone experience ANY malfunctions using these extensions? If so - please explain what and if you were using stock spring or a larger spring with the extensions and which brand/kind of spring, as well as providing a ROUND COUNT please.

2.) Do I need to replace the original spring with a stronger spring?

I know a lot of people will say “just buy the larger magazines and don’t bother with the plus 2”, and that’s a legit answer but, I like the cosmetics better of the extension. BUT I don’t wanna do it if they are less reliable.

Anyways - lemme know.

EDIT: added a request to item #1... if you can please provide round count through these magazine extension mags as well.
I have added the Plus two on all my Gen-3 G-19,Gen-4 G-17 magazines. I have 7 magazines for each gun shoot them both in competitions.Have about 20,000 rounds thru my G-19 ang 5,000 rounds thru G-17. No issues at all.Use the original springs that came in the magazines.
