cool thanks for posting! i'll have to check it out when it shows up in my local shops. i love my gen 3, but there's always room for one more.

on a side note, even though i know his pistol was clear, when he disassembled the pistol at 10:20, he had his hand in front of the barrel while pulling the trigger. that made me uncomfortable.

Same wimpy ejection.
Probably so lol. The only thing that I kinda like about the "M" is the beefed up front RSA notch. Although entirely unnecessary, I like added structural integrity to tools. The soft corner bevels of the slide is nice as well. All the other modifications,,, meh....

But I am still at least a couple years away from buying the Gen 5, if ever.

Got to handle a 19 gen5 today and one thing made me shake my head in disbelief.

Glock beveled the front of the slide but NOT the frame.

Wow. It not only looks ridiculously stupid, but they actually created snag trap by trying to save 5 cents.

And trust me, when you least expect it...and Murphy rears his head...it WILL become a trouble spot.

What in sam's deviled eggs were they thinking.

True

I like the lack of finger grooves, the dehorned slide, that they claimed to improve the accuracy with the new rifling and the new finish. They lost me on the on the rest of the changes. Ambi slide stop I won't deal with, and then there is so many Gen5 parts that are not compatible with the previous gens. Don't see what the point was to going back to a 2 pin frame, its like deja vu. So pretty much all the spare parts I have that fit my other Glocks won't work with the Gen5, the barrel won't even fit previous gens. Sorry I will have to pass. Not melting the frame with the slide just leaves me scratching my head. Don't see the point in changing the locking block, firing pin, FP safety, firing pin hole, ejector, trigger assembly, slide lock spring, etc.

Just handled a G5. Not that impressed. The snub nose was nice but every thing was meh..... No slide serrations make me wonder what Glock was thinking??? Our industry test with a G3 for a reason. I could have got one today at cost and didn't so........

This Gen 5 debris test certainly looked like a very embarrassing fail for the Gen 5.

I see it. Pretty stupid of GLOCK not to match up the frame. Hope they fix it.

A little sandpaper will fix that .

I totally missed this little detail. Thanks for highlighting.
