Going to be picking up a new pistol, looking for a nice striker fired compact. I'm interested on everyone's input as to the gen 5 Glock 19 or the new CZ P10-C.

Is the Gen5 available for sale yet? I do not know how you could compare the Gen5 as IF THEY YET EXIST, no one that I know of has seen them. The 19M is in the hands of some agencies, as is the 17M, but I am not aware of any sold privately, and even if they were, the 17M and 19M are not the Gen5 pistols.Going to be picking up a new pistol, looking for a nice striker fired compact. Exactly. There is NO Gen 5 and even though I'm LE I cannot walk into a LGS that sells Blue Label Glocks and buy a 17M or 19MIs the Gen5 available for sale yet? I wouldn't be surprised; they look like first cousins. Even appear to field-strip the same way. All my experiences with CZ-made things showed quality and good planning. The only CZ I own is the P-01. I have found my CZ P-01 to be highly ergonomic, reliable and accurate. This new striker fired P10-C may give GLOCK a run for the money. :cowboy:
The new FN 509 (17 round mags)looks better than both the CZ & the 19, but the trigger isn't quite up to the new CZ's, or so I've read.Hey, don't forget the other guys:
Walther, Beretta, Sig, H&K, Ruger, Canik - all trying to claim market share on the striker fired plastic frame pistol ("my trigger is better than YOUR trigger")...even S&W revamping their M&P to NEW 2.0 to stay in the game.
<chuckle, chuckle>I have never seen a single problem with a Gen 5 Glock, ZERO.
Hard to beat that kind of reliability record!
It's certainly got more types of texturing on the grip. Don't like the looks of that trigger, though ...The new FN 509 (17 round mags)looks better than both the CZ & the 19, but the trigger isn't quite up to the new CZ's, or so I've read.
It's different. The trigger guard looks better on the FN, too, IMO.It's certainly got more types of texturing on the grip. Don't like the looks of that trigger, though ...
On the DA/SA hammer-fired platform, my choice would be the CZ 75 P-01. :cowboy:I'd go with an Arex RexZero1 before I'd buy the CZ P10-C
MAC on youtube had two videos one was a torture test where it passed and the they fire 1,000 rounds in 14 minutes with no issue
You own one handgun, have you handled or shot the CZ?Gotta go with Glock in my opinion!

I had a chance to hold one today. It's the only one in town. I'm going to buy it tomorrow. The trigger is awesome, and it fits all glock holsters. The grip is aggressive and feels to be the same size as a G19. Everything else seems to be beefierAnyways, has anyone had a chance to hold the new CZ? It's killing me to know if it's as narrow in feel as a Glock. Specs say it's a hair thicker, but #'s and feel are two different things.
If you are speaking of the HK VP9 SK yes it is beefier which means somewhat a little heavier. It is very close in size to the Glock 19 but the grip is not more aggressive that Glock gen 4. Trigger is smoother and the gun is more accurate for me.I had a chance to hold one today. It's the only one in town. I'm going to buy it tomorrow.
