I'm going to correct a few things in this thread:
1: TSA are emergency response, it's in the red label on the Dept of Homeland security ID.
2: They are under the Dept of Homeland Security
3: They go thru FLETC for their commission and certifications, so yes they a federal academy.
4: They are what stand between Joe Sociopath or John Underwear bomber and your family on a plane. So for all the trash talk, think if you feel safer putting your family on a plane with the screeners there, or a free pass to walk on without screening or the same system that allowed Sept 11th to happen?
TSA was put in place because of the loss of 3000+ on Sept 11th BECAUSE the old system had failed to protect American lives.

Lastly, google what TANG, and Water can be used for. Or Magnesium and Water. Or Glycerin, or peroxide, etc etc etc. Anyone with experience knows why the liquids rule is there. It isn't because it's water... It's because it can be something else in a binary compound OH WHICH HAS BEEN ATTEMPTED TO BE USED SINCE Sept 11th.
So based on your post it's fair to assume that you don't believe that 9/11 was an inside job?

Whoa. For a minute there I had to look to make sure it was not April 1st.

Your not serious about them, are you? Do they actually do a background check on them?

I wonder of the cook went through the academy and perhaps worked his way ino the cooking job from other positions in the system.
Not far from the truth. A lot of jails send their guards to Police Academy to get POST certified, paying their tuition, then back to the job at the jail, still not carrying a sidearm or with any powers of arrest. After completing the Academy, a lot will quit the prison system, and get on with a Muni or Sheriff's Dept.

A 2 week academy? I've known police dispatchers who've gone through longer academies.

TSA does not have a federal training Academy. TSA guards are not federal law enforcement officers and do not receive any formal training. They are hired and trained in house and given on the job training OJT. They do not satisfy the blue label requirements for the benefit. They are one of the largest Albatrosses/labilities in the federal government from my observation.
I don't know much about the TSA but I do know that a volunteer firefighter (wacker) is included in the Glock blue label program, makes no sense at all to me.
Most of those guys running around with the blue/red lights on their vehicle with giant antennas all over the roof are halfwits. It would be nice to know why Glock includes those clowns.

When I go to my LE distributor who only sells under the blue label program they make a copy of my LEO credentials every time. One time I was there, some bozo with a little generic "volunteer fireman" picture card was in store purchasing a Glock. I questioned it because I was not aware those clowns were included. Guy at the counter said he didn't agree but has no choice but to deal with the since Glock has them listed in the program. Seems strange to me.

Thousands Standing Around are not LEO's or even first responders. They are gate guards with the authority to feel up women..
And search for weed without a warrant.

While the public is told they are looking for terrorists. HahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhHHahAhhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaahhahahaahah....

A Fairbanks man has secured a court order to get his marijuana back from authorities at the Fairbanks International Airport after it was flagged by a federal transportation security officer and seized.

Are US air Marshalls considered TSA? Also I believe there is an armed division of TSA, maybe special agents, a little higher on the food chain. I had a positive interaction with one of them while flying armed. "Most" Normal TSA don't exude the professionalism or command presence that" Most" LE, military, Fire and EMS providers do so no discount seems fair.

Federal Air Marshals are an agency under TSA, but are completely seperate from the screening side of TSA. As for the "Armed division", TSA has its own internal affairs and those are special agents. Its a very small office within TSA, but yes, they carry guns and have arrest authority.

Again Mod please Close this thread, TSA officers use their Government Personal Identification Verification (PIV) card at their nearest Blue Label Glock stocking dealers and that's it.

Anything needing to be said here was said sometime in the last 3 years. Now, it's far, far removed from any "valuable information" about Glocks. Locked.
