I have a 26 and I want a couple more extensions for it. I have one pearce and it seems to work fine. However I didn't know that you can buy factory 12 round mags for the 26 as well. The thing is all the seem to be are standard mags with the glock extension on it, which is 5 bucks on the glock site.

people say don't mess with your mags or t could alter their reliability, but also recommend the extended glock mags that are im sure they just add the extension at the factory.

So are the glock ones any better or worse than the pearce ones?

I use the Pearce +0 on my 33. It delivers standard magazine (9 rounds) reliability, accommodates my little finger for better control, and I use a compact-sized (G32) magazine for a reload (13 rounds). In the bargain, the subcompact pistol with a +0 extension conceals nearly as well as with no extension at all.

I have used the Pearce extension on my G26 Gen4 but removed it because it pinched the crap out of my hand. Otherwise the extension was fine.

Switched to the Glock "+" extension and have been satisfied with it. If you opt for the Glock extension make sure you also have the 7165 insert as well.

Pearce and Glock extensions are 100% reliable. Since the 26 actually uses a 19 magazine spring it will handle the extra two rounds without an issue.
I never had a problem with the 26. However, I've had reliability issues with the 27. Similar to problems that I experienced using 22 & 23 mags in the 27, but not quite as frequent.

I have the Pearce +2 on my 27 mags because they look and feel like a factory peice, unlike the Glock extensions.

As mentioned above, the subcompact mag spring is the same as the compact. I'm not worrying about 2 extra rounds when it's designed to shove 4 more. I've never had an issue with the extensions or the longer 23 mags.

When Glock came out with the 26 they recommended the Pearce extensions and authorized their use for GSSF. I have had Pearce extensions on my 27,33's and now 26's for over 15 years. I have (40) mags all with the Pearce PG 39 extensions on them, no issues or hiccups over all those years.

I do not carry or use the two finger grip nor use longer mags in my guns.

I have the Pierce pg-2733 which are supposed to add 2 but real'y only one. they are my favorite and look best on the G 26.
I also have the Glock factory + and the Pg-39, i slightly prefer the Glock because it seems a little stronger and is slightly smaller than the PG-39. They both add 2 rounds to my G 26.

I have both types of extensions since I bought a bunch of those 12 rounders. But I put all of those Glock extensions onto some G17 mags making them 19 rounders and I use Pearce extensions on my G26 mags. I strongly prefer the feel in my hand.

I do like to mod the top front edge, right where the extension meets the grip, using sand paper to round it over some. Otherwise I get pinched just a bit.

Not for nothing man but the extension and insert is 7 bucks on the glock site....

I think I'm just going to get a few more pearce extensions, I like the one I got and I can get them with the texture that matches my gun. The Pearce ones pretty much look more OEM than the actual OEM extensions.

I have a couple of each and have had no issues with either on G26 magazines. I also have a couple of the Glock versions on G17 magazines, also with no issues.

The pinch is on recoil, of course. It isn't something that happens during dry fire or practice or anything, just under live recoil...at least that's been my experience. That's why I've taken sandpaper to the top front edge of my Pearce extensions and they don't pinch anymore.
