I finally came up with a decent excuse (for me) to get one.
With any luck, I should make it to the range tomorrow to test it out.

Thanks for the info. I have the LCP, and also a Glock 26.

I will keep this model in mind along with the single stack Glock, when looking for something in between.

Will be interesting to read your review when you get around to it. I think (that legendary, cranky old helicopter pilot who teaches women how to shoot) has the exact same model and gave it a positive review :)

I have the older version, the LC9. Very reliable, good sights, decent accuracy. I like the handgun very much. Trigger, not so much. I plan on purchasing the Pro model sometime during the next couple of months. As others have mentioned, the advantages, beside a superior trigger, is the Pro versions lack of magazine disconnect safety, and its having no external safety. The last two wouldn't be deal killers for me, but I much prefer a "simple" pistol where I'm the primary safety feature.

I also intend to pick up one (or two...) of the new +1 magazine bases. The reports indicate that these accessories do not diminish reliability, give you one extra round in the magazine and are not larger than the "normal" finger extension bases I generally prefer.

I've been shooting all sorts of ammo in my LC9, ranging from the least expensive Eastern European stuff right up to my standard carry ammo (Hornady FTX 135 grain rounds). The little gun just shoots them all without a hitch.

If I didn't already own my LC9 (and some nice holsters, extra magazines, etc.) I would have looked at the Glock 43. I like the Glock series of handgun and own quite a few models (19, 17, 23). But since I already own excellent holsters for the Ruger (Alabama Pocket Holster is my favorite for pocket carry) I see little point in acquiring a handgun I'd have to start over with in finding the right (for me) carry gear.

Enjoy your new Ruger.

GREAT GUN!!!

My wife bought it because it was a tiny bit smaller than my Shield. She says the Shield is easier to shoot but still loves her Ruger LC9s PRO!!!

Enjoy yours :)

I got to shoot it for the first time last night. It was absolutely perfect. I only shot it at pretty close range with FMC ball ammo, but it was extremely accurate, sighted perfectly, and 100% reliable. It's one of the best gun purchases I've made.
I also brought the GF with the LCP, and that might have been a mistake. The LCP was so much harder to shoot.

Springer, should you ever have to change the pistol's point of impact it's very simple to do (for windage). There is a hex screw holding the rear sight in place. Loosening this screw permits easy movement of the sight. DO NOT REMOVE THE SCREW OR OVER LOOSEN IT! The rear sight holds a spring loaded piece (forget which part) and things will pop out if you don't use care.

The reason you should know how to do this is that different projectile weights often moves point of impact.

One little trick; use a lead pencil and make a mark on the rear sight and the frame prior to moving the sight. That way you'll see in which direction and how much you've moved your rear sight, should you ever have to do so.

The LC9s-Pro trigger pull is way, way better than the LCP trigger pull. My wife has an LCP and hates the trigger pull. She wants to steal my LC9s-Pro but I won't let her have it.

I certainly hope Ruger comes out with an LCPs. That would be a game changer in pocket pistols. Especially since Sig seems to be totally disinterested in doing a striker fired version of their P938.
