I just picked up a ZEV Starter Spring Kit ($24) at a LGS tonight and installed it in a Gen 4 G27. It consists of a new connector, striker spring, trigger bar spring and drop-safe spring, and was easy to install. The result is a much lighter trigger, but I have not had a chance to shoot it yet, so I cannot say what it shoots like yet.

I was originally looking for a 3.5 connector for a G21 and the guy at the gun store checked online to see if there was a particular kit for a G21 and decided that all of the kits they had were for a Gen 4, .40 cal Glock. I checked online later and it looks like they have only one kit.

Has anyone had any experience with these parts? So far, I like what it feels like, but will withhold my final opinion until I've exercised it a lot. My only real issue is how little info they provide on the website. It simply shows a photo of the parts with zero text on trigger pull expected, spring weights or changes to feel.

The connector will lower your trigger pull in the 16 oz. range.
The firing pin spring will lower your trigger pull in the 16 oz. range.
The trigger spring will lower your trigger pull in the 4 oz. range.
The combination of the light firing pin spring and the heavy trigger spring has been known to cause trigger reset issues in Gen 4 Glocks.
The light firing pin spring without a light firing pin may cause light strikes.
I would use the G27 as a range only pistol with the complete kit installed.

After installing both a reduced power FP spring and 6# trigger spring on my G17 GEN4, I had trigger reset problems.

Removed the 6# trigger spring and left in the reduced power FP spring.

Really like the trigger now, but the slow reset is driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

A 4.5# Wolff spring will help with reset and reliability and you will gain about 4 oz. in trigger pull weight.

Thanks for the replies guys. I took the G27 out to the range today along with my G23. The G23 is stock except for a 3.5 connector. Alternating between the two while shooting 5 round strings, I could not tell the difference under live fire. The G27 feels great during dry fire, but in live fire I cannot tell a difference between the two. I did check the brass and don't see any evidence of light strikes, but I'm running reloads with CCI primers which I believe are on the soft side. I'm going to reinstall the stock striker spring and give it another run next weekend.

I picked a second kit up today and installed all except the striker spring in a Gen 3 G21. Configured like that, it feels exactly like my G23, so I think that's how I'll keep that one.

I appreciate all the info. I'm always amazed at how different you can make these pistols feel given the simplicity of the design.

Installed the kit in a friend's Glock 26 and he had reset issues. Ended up just using the connector. And leaving the other springs alone.

When I didn't have full Zev triggers in my pistols. I ran a ghost trigger return spring with a lonewolf connector without issue
