I know alot use the Talon Grip's with good results. I have a 2nd Gen. Glock 22 without the fingergroove's and have been looking for the brand that fits and looks ok on the gun. I know regular bicycle inner tube's work as well for grip enhancement but heard that the Mountain Bike inner tube is preferred. Some of the pic's I've seen doesn't make the gun look horrible. Than again so what because its for a better grip. Anybody know what brand of Mountain Bike inner tube?? I think the size if Im not mistaken is 26x 1.75. :whistling:

I went to the local bike shop and got a skinny little bike tube, it was about an inch in diameter. I got the small tube because I wanted a snug fit.

It was "used" and the shop let me have it free. It works fine, but the edges have a tendency to roll over as they are not glued down like the Talon. After a time I went back to the Talon grip.

I really like the Hogue slip on with the finger grooves and palm swells. Been using them on my gen2 g23 for years. They are like $9
I have a Hogue Handall. Im not sure if thats what you have. I swear it make's the grip feel big and awkward. I do have nerve damage in my right hand (Ulnar Neuropathy) which cause's my stronger hand the right to be weaker than my offhand. This is why for me the best Mod would be a great grip. Not the sandpaper style either. Thats a problen when carrying. I never shot it with the Hogue. the grip just felt awful. Maybe the Hogue works better for the compact Glock's.

I've used a bunch of different grips, cheap skateboard tape, talon grips, bike inner tube and lile talon the best for a sure grip but mostly carry with the inner tube as it seems to be the best combination of grip and comfort (not being rough against my bare skin).

I would have used the Talon's with the sandpaper feel but too rough for concealed carry. A few time's I've had just my 2nd Gen. Glock 22 climb up my shirt while walking my 95 lb dog. He's a german shepard though and a leader dog who take's no order's from me. I never use to have to carry but now due to financial and physical hardship's Im living where I trust nobody.

Local bike shop owner pulled a discarded inner tube from his trash bin and gave it to me. No idea if it was a mountain bike tube or not as I wasn't getting that specific.

I used a piece one an FNS-40 we have with a very aggressive grip pattern. Can't say it enhanced "gripability", but it made the gun a whole lot more pleasant to shoot.

Same to a slightly lesser degree of an XDM 45 3.8. That little band of rubber below the grip safety made a big difference in comfort.

I used a new tube so it will have the best elasticity, the ends ar less likely to roll. I also use a very skinny one that I have to heat with a hair drier. I cut them in 3/4'' strips. I can't remember what size cause I have been working on the same one. one thing I have found is after the newness wears off on my new Glocks they grip better without any grip. also, one member here posted about cleaning the grip real good every now and then with alcohol for a better grip, that seems to work too. I don't really use tubes anymore.

For this type of concept, what works best is one you can find in the trash for free, and fits tightly (hard to get on-- so it is hard to fall off).

Worth a trip to your local bike shop, and rummage through their trash bin, with a pair of scissors in your back pocket. Or buy an inner tube at Walmart and make multiple grips (christmas gifts) for your buds.

What is your goal? Is the texture of the regular grip not enough.

Try stick on skateboard or tread tape, too.

Now I just put the Hogue Handall back on and it seem's like a good fit. I got it from a great guy on this site for free. I guess we look for new way's to find the closest thing to "A Perfect Gun".

I prefer 20" bicycle tires. The diameter is enough for a snug fit and the tubes tend to be a bit thicker which prevents them from rolling up. I have tried just about every type of grip as well as skate tape, but nothing works as well as a section of 20" tube.
