Anyone handled their micarta grips? Thinking of getting some for the new vaquero as shooting grips thatll be grippier than wood. Handled micarta and g10 knife handles and g10 pistol grips but this micarta, at least from pics, looks smooth, while everything ive tried has been textured.

Looking for people with experience on them here

anyone know where I can get some textured grips for a "birdhead" Single Six? The stock grips are just too slick.

ive just got to decide on color lol, dont know if ill go black or white. Its a blued gun.

My wood grips are nice looking and when i shoot 38s its nice but there a bit slick to give me confidence when i move up to .357

I can't tell how white the grip color is from the Hogue photo either. My Lett's grips (don't know why they went out of business) had the slightly yellow aged ivory look and it was fine with SS guns.

Those grips were meant to allow the gun to rotate a bit in your hand upon recoiling.

my problem is wet weather. Snowy winter shooting and hands get wet fast.
