I always wanted one of these and decided to drop some bills in GrabAGuns wallet. Best deal I found online and locally $271 shipped. Haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet and it's the LMS-1191.

Congrats! :wavey:

We've had excellent service from the LaserMax Guide Rod Lasers installed in our G19 and G21 for the past seven years!

I recently picked up a new LaserMax Native Green Guide Rod Laser for my 3rd Gen G17, and will be range-testing it shortly!

I still think these are the best laser option for Glock pistols... Enjoy yours!

Went to the range tonight and after 9rds this is the aftermath.
I have no idea why it happened but I emailed these pics to LaserMax and don't expect a response until Monday. Before I ordered I emailed and asked if I should order the LMS-1181 for the 36 or the 1191 for the 30.
I think the 30S should use the 1181 for the 36.

Yes, it still powers on. The slide was stuck, wouldn't release and took a couple of people trying to slide it off. Finally I just pushed it against the rubber mat on the table to force it back in. Once I got the slide off, I didn't bother putting the laser back in and limped home with a parts gun bc I didn't think I needed to bring the factory rsa with me. Glad it happened on the range and not in a self defense scenario.

Here is a video of it all and pic of where the POI was. I was aiming at the red center and impacted all low. Makes me wonder what round it failed bc I noticed it sticking out after I dropped the mag and was going to clear it, so I could pull out the laser and reseat it. It's supposed to be accurate right out the box and not low. I don't know maybe I was squeezing the trigger low????:dunno:

10/16/2013 the OP reports the purchase of a new LaserMax guide rod laser.

10/19/2013 the laser fails structurally after 09-shots fired at the range.

10/20/2013 the OP posts three replies with regard to the failure.

Four months pass...

02/17/2014 the OP has yet to follow up with the OEM? Four months pass and no follow up? I'm sorry, but this just smells bad to me. :eyebrow:

My own experience with this OEM suggests that they would have pounced on this problem for the customer, and ultimately made it right for him--that's just who they are. Apparently, he didn't even contact the OEM... There is an aspect to this whole thing that is not being disclosed here. :headscratch:

I am looking for a laser for my 30S and since Crimson Trace doesn't make one I was thinking of going with LaserMax but this post scared me away from them. Hope he puts the follow up to his problem.

Well, its been 4-months... I wouldn't hold my breath... Nor would I let a post of this quality persuade me one way or the other.

Frankly, something smells with this whole thing.

No doubt, Crimson Trace will have something for you soon.

Edit: Here is a full circle communication, and it shows you what you can expect from LaserMax as a company:

I received this response from Lasermax: Brandon Morabito

Hopes this helps other interested in a guide rod.

Rick65......

......................................................................................................................................................

Hi Rick65,

I am sorry but at this time we do not offer a guide rod laser for the Glock 30S. Because of the different design in this unit, we need to make some changes to our guide rod in order for this to fit. I am not sure when we will have this available, however please feel free to check back with us in the future for any updates.

Thank you,

Brandon Morabito
