Hey, if you like the 225, or the 239, thats cool. They are great guns, like most SIG's. I personally, preferred the extra capacity in the supposedly "full size" guns. I figured if they are the same size, carry and shoot the same, might as well have the extra ammo.
I generally carry a 1911. The extra capacity doesn't mean a thing to me.

The P228 is a great pistol and I'll pick one up soon. However, it feels much fatter in hand than the P225 does.

The 225/P6 gets my vote, they are great pistols. Actually one of my favorite one of my 9MMs accurate, reliable, feels good in hand, and a good looking pistol.

The 239 is better in every single way as far as I'm concerned.
Why?

The P239 has an odd, unbalanced feeling to me.
They do feel top/muzzle heavy when unloaded. That tends to go away once you load them.

I carried Colt GM's, and mostly Commanders, for a little over 20 years, then switched to a 220 when I got tired of fooling with the 1911 issues. I liked the 220, which is what sold me on the SIG's, but soon went to a P226 and 229 once I finally realized that the .45 was really just a peon like the others, and capacity is a good thing when it comes to handguns.

These days, I have a 17 and 26 along on my daily adventures.

I suppose the "feel" thing will always be different with each person, and something we all have to pick what works best for us there. Size wise, the differences are really nil, and make no difference in carrying them. Its just as easy to carry a 220 or 226, as it is to carry a 225 or 239.

As I said earlier, my favorite feeling SIG grip, was the P250, which seems to be the red headed step child of the SIG line. The only good to come of that, was cheap guns for those of us that liked them.

Just to keep things stirred up, I do believe the P239 is more accurate. I have owned 5 P239s and have never shot one that wasn't an absolute tack driver. At least for me it is a more accurate gun. But the P225 is a classic and looks better. In the end these are all just opinions and everybody will decide which they like better. Fun debate anyway!

The P225 fits my hand so much better and that helps me shoot it more accurately. From a ransome rest, the P239 may be more accurate, but I have no idea.

For me I would personally take the P229 over both the P225/P6 or the P239. I have carried the P229 several years IWB and it was very comfortable. However, you can pick up a P6/225 got a great price.

For me, I'd rather carry a Sig P220 (either Carry or Compact) than the P225, P239, or P229. There's only a couple ounces differences in weight and I prefer the bigger bullets..... The P220 Carry is virtually the same size as a P229.....

That's a good alternative also  I have the full size with threaded barrel.
