In my opinion, Browning's faith, if he adhered to it, is just as false (to me) as is the Moonie cult.

And it ain't no big thang to me to own his designs.

While not an apples-to-apples comparison, it's not quite an apples-to-oranges one, either.

More like oranges-to-lemons.

I see what you're getting at, but that isn't the issue with me. I have have no problem with anyone's honest faith, whatever it may be in, what I do have a problem with is scammers, false messiahs and cult leaders. I wouldn't buy a gun designed and marketed by a relative of Jim Jones or Robert Tilton, either. Just my thing, but I can't get around the fact that it bothers me enough to sour me on Kahr.

I had a CW45 for a minute. Accurate and comfortable. Too bad it dumped the mag every 3rd round. Weak catch spring.

Kahr sent me new parts but I'd already lost faith in it. Only gun I've ever returned, because I wasn't going to foist that off on someone else.

The CW9 seems less problematic, the CW40 somewhere between the two in reliability.

My Kahr CW45 sold tonight.

Kahr... Fool me once shame on them, fool me twice shame on me.
It worked, but I consider it a junky weapon that wont hold up.
Right... It ran well, but you sold it because you didn't think it would hold up?

You sold a less than reliable weapon to an unsuspecting schmuck. Be very proud, marine.

Had an MK9 that I bought new when they first came out. Kahr replaced the slide, due to a known defect a while after warranty ran out (I told them about it before I sent it, they said send it anyway, no charge). Was a great gun for what it was, but I had adopted a G26 which I like better and works with my other Glock 9mm mags and all the other Glock stuff I like. A friend mentioned he was interested in buying the Kahr, I gave him all the info I knew about it, we came to agreement and he bought it. They are still interesting, reliable, and unique guns to me, but I have a slew of others on my buy list that I'll purchase before another Kahr because I would consider any Kahr a carry gun, and I like my Glock carry guns.

It's remarkable that OP hasn't come out with details on his sale. If it was to a shop, nothing wrong with that. Also, I consider it my duty to become familiar with guns that I buy and their potential flaws before purchase. When buying used, especially, I presume I'm buying someone else's problem unless it is specifically advertised otherwise, which would be shady, fraudulent, and despicable. If I were to sell an item with known flaws, I'd consider it my duty to inform the buyer of the flaws.

I think its still shady if he sold it to a shop. Sadly, the new owner of fedor's Kahr probably won't realize he's been sold a lemon until his 1st trip to the range.

Get off my back, it worked fine. I read so many horror stories at Kahrtalk that I didnt trust it to stay reliable.
I will never buy another pistol sight unseen.

Now it goes from being a piece of crap to it worked fine but I succumbed to the Jedi mind trick and now I don't have to worry about it anymore?:wow:

I'm sure I'll get flamed...but I can't get past the Moonie thing.

Ever buy a movie ticket to a flick made in Hollywood? A good portion of the people gett'in paid off of that movie's revenue are into some pretty off-the-wall crap... including giving a lot of money to "anti-gun" politicians.

Just say'in. :dunno:

Screw all of this other mess......what does this have to do with a greyhound....I have to know....... :) Somebody enlighten me please.

As for the moonies, ever since I saw pics of that mass prearranged marriage ceremony they did with hundreds of couples I have wondered how many of those couples are still together.....

Google "thank god and greyhound lyrics"

When I were but a youngster, I remember Dad having a Live record of Roy Clark with this song - heck, at that tender age, I didn't understand it, but it was delivered in such slow and angst-ridden drama until the chorus (beginning with the line "thank God and Greyhound you're gone") at which the mood of the song became much more upbeat, causing much laughter with both my Dad, and the recorded audience!

And many thanks to the OP for helping me recall a precious memory of my Dad!
