Mainly so we are less tempted to hug, pet, caress and fondle them constantly.:wow::supergrin:

Real gun owners are not pantywastes and don't own sissy/pretty guns.:cheers:

I remember seeing my first Glock sometime around 1987 . I thought it was ugly as sin then and my first thought was,"Who in the heck would buy a plastic pistol?" Well I found out that almost everyone would want one. The G 19 i carry for my job is ugly as heck but i would not trade it for anything .

I thought they were the ugliest thing about 6 months ago, and I wanted nothing to do with a polymer gun. I now own a glock 19:embarassed:. Not quite sure what happened, lol.

Actually, I like the g19, and g26 sized guns. I think the full size guns like the 17 look awkward. I also dont care for the 1st gens looks.

I like the way Glocks look. Ugly pistols would be the Beretta storm line, sub compact springfield XDs, those steyr glock clones, hi points, and many others.

I've always preferred the simple clean lines of any tool or machine.

I like the looks of the original 1911 and the Gen I, II Glocks.
Still get a little buzz from a simple lined revolver!

Do they not all go "BANG" and deliver a projectile?:dunno:

I know, it's a generational thing.:embarassed:

do you like the the look of your glock??
When I was into Sigs I thought the Glock looked awful. Guess I changed my mind. No disrespect to the wonderful Sigs but I no longer own Sigs, now G26 is all I've got. I've gained a real appreciation for the chunky, blocky, straight-serrations-on-the-slide Glocks. The G26/G27, and G19/G23 look GREAT despite a little plastic.

I think part of the reason I love their "ugly" looks is that they can get away with it because they're so simple, functional and reliable.
