As the title says, anyone have experience with both of these grip enhancers?

I held a Glock today at the gun show with with what I think was AGrip, it looked and felt very similar to a soft suede material. I also held another Glock with some sort of grip similar to Talon but it was something different and the dealer didn't know the name of it.

I liked both and was hoping someone who has used both can chime in. If you have only used one, how do you like it?

TIA :wavey:

I have a Talon grip on my G19 and really like it. So does everyone else who has felt it.

The only downside is that for concealed carry it can cause your shirt to get caught on the handle which can slow draw time.

It's only $10 too, and if you don't like it you an remove it fairly easily.

Overall though the it's a great product at an even greater value. I think the AGrip is pretty expensive isn't it?

Thanks for the reply. How does the grip feel against your skin when you CC? Or do you wear an undershirt to keep it off your skin?

The AGrip is $20, twice the price of the Talons, but still pretty inexpensive.

I have had agrip on my gun for a year now. It's gotten wet, sweaty, gun cleaner, CLP and hoppe's oil on it and has stayed on. As to how much of a different it makes? Meh, I dunno. I put it on my gun shortly after I got it so I can't give much of a comparison.

It grips well? feels good too. if my hands get sweaty, the gun gets easier to hold on to

You probably won't want direct skin to grip contact with Talon Grips. It would be like rubbing 80 grit sand paper against your skin all day.
Yeah, I figured as much. As the weather cools down here in SoFla, wearing a t-shirt with cover garment will become tolerable. This is the main reason I'm leaning toward the AGrip. When it gets hot again, I won't want to wear two shirts.

Thanks, migm. :wavey: Just what I wanted to hear. When I held the Glock today with what I assume was AGrip on it, I was immediately interested.

I think a lot of people sand down the inside grip a little to make it less abrasive on clothing/skin.

That's a clever idea I hadn't thought of. Thanks.

I have both. Talon on my G23 for HD. Agrip on my CCW / EDC G27. For CCW, I think the Agrip is a great choice. Both are quality products. Given the low price of admission, I recommend getting one of each and seeing which you like. :)

Thanks for the input! :wavey:

I've only got the one Glock. I know, I know... :crying: I think I'll try the AGrip first and if I don't like that for whatever reason, I'll try the Talons with the tip from ross2004 about sanding down the left side that would be against my body/shirt.

Ah... see there's your REAL problem! You've only got ONE Glock! :faint: You've got to get some more Glocks! That way you can justify buying multiple accessories.

I've only got three Glocks. So, in this esteemed group of Glockers, I'm a penny-ante player. ;)

You got me there... :crying::crying:

I have a Talon grip for my G19. Have had it for over a year now. Put around 500 rounds through my gun with it and it still grips as well as the first time I put it on. Can get a little rough against the skin.
Are you referring to it rubbing against your body during concealed carry or on your hand during shooting?

I usually wear an undershirt. I think you will be happy with either but I'll personally stick with the Talon grips. They are just more cost effective and feel great to me.

LOL - held the same gun at the show today (g26 or g27) and asked myself the exact same question!!! (if you were standing at the front door the table was located about 2:00 in the back by the Shoot Straight tables).

Anyway, I found it too smooth for my taste and made the decision right then and there to stay with my Talon's (have 'em on 4 of my 8 Glocks - all 4 are the one's I carry in rotation). I never wear an undershirt and they don't bother me in the slightest - and I"m hooked on them - I do however run a small file lightly on left side grip area to ever so slightly dull-down the points of the sandpaper.

Did you catch a gander at that 7'-tall Blonde walking around this afternoon?

The Talon's work for me - wouldn't carry without 'em.

Yup, that was the one! I was set on the AGrip until your post. Now I'm torn again. :brickwall: I wish I had spent more time molesting the two guns. The one with the grip tape I held was at the Palm Beach Shooting Center table. I don't think it was Talon, seemed like more material than I see with the Talon.

As far as the Amazonian, I did see her and definitely did a double-take. How about that little hot thing in the tight black dress selling those chemical warming packs? :hearts:

7' Amazonian and a little hot thing in the tight black dress?

Geez guys! You do have cell phone cameras, don't you?

I agree with all: the skateboard taped-Glock at the PB table was not Talon ... and I didn't need any help warming my chemicals after seeing that little hotty!

As far as cell phone camera's ... of course we had 'em ... but once you get thinking about 'hey, she looked at me ... hey, maybe she likes me ... maybe I could actually take that little hottie out back and show her who's the man ...' or 'if I could physically make the climb up those mountains and talk to that Amazon face to face ...' you get a little distracted and forget about taking pics! Sorry.

IN all fairness though, I do have to say with regarding the Agrip/Talon discussion that I have a perfectly good sheet of Agrip sitting in my tool box and have yet to install it. Before I render my final opinion I think I will/should at least install the Agrip and use it with my EDC for a while (i've read lots of posts here by people who swear by it ... I"m a sweaty bastard too living in hot/sweltering south florida so I'm a good test subject).

I seem to be carrying my G27 with Talon Grips more than my others these days ... will go ahead and remove the tape and install the Agrip and report back. Worst that can happen is I don't like it and have to spend $10 to get the Talon Grips replaced.

Alas, my phone only has phone-type functions...:crying::crying:

And no, the Glock 26/27 was at a table either near Shoot Straight near the back-right (coming from the front entrance) or it was a Shoot Straight table of used guns. The Glock, I think a 19/23, at the PBSC table had something like Talon Grips but wasn't Talons.
