I went to the one of the Academy Sports stores Wednesday at about 9:00 am after working all night and 4 hours of OT. I asked the sales guy about the price on the 7.62 x 39 and he said it a had gone off sale. Then the dept. manager came by and said they had sold "their numbers at the price". I like

As of this morning at 0400 CST CTD had Wolf Black Box at $6.78 a box. Yesterday is was over $7.00 a box.

The 7.62 x 39 Monarch is manufactured for Academy by Barnaul.

IIRC - Barnaul and Wolf are two different companies - located in the same city. They use the same components - powder/bullets/primers. :dunno:

It is non-corrosive and has always been 100% reliable in my AKs.
