What do you all think about the XD 45C vs the Glock? I have a Glock 19 and an XDM. I like both for different reasons. The Glock 45's are large. If there was a Gen4 Glock 30 around the corner, I might consider that, but I just don't like the bottom of the grip. The backstrap where it ends digs into my palm making it very uncomfortable. I did see where someone came up with a plug that extended that as well.

Anyway, what is the consensus on the XD 45C? From what I've read on other forums, it is widely liked. I don't mind the grip safety, so I really don't care about that. I have yet to see anyone serious about racking a slide do it w/o gripping the pistol with one hand.

I currently have a G30 and a G21, and I did have an XD .45C (I actually traded the XD .45C for the G21). The XD .45c is an excellent gun, and is a true Compact, vs. the G30 which is more sub compact-ish. My XD .45c never jammed on me or had any issues, and I ran a variety of stuff through it, including lead semi wad cutters. I can't say the same about the G30, which I had to do a trigger bar upgrade to fix a misfire issue. Still, I needed a full size .45 for IDPA, and since I was shooting other GLOCKs the trade made sense at the time.

For the record, I actually like the XD grip safety.

The XD looks a littler higher on the hand, but from what I can tell, there is really no difference in recoil. In fact, it looks like it may have a little less than the 30 due to the heavier slide.

I'm really down to the 21 (gen 4 possibly) or the XD 45C. I like the XD's versatility to be carried.
