The backstrap options are nice (currently both of my Gen4's have no backstrap), I really like the new grip treatment but I love the Gen4 mag catch. Lower profile and much better than any aftermarket extended catch.

If the G3 fits your hands already I would not. If you think a smaller or larger grip backstrap would make that much difference then I would. I personally think the G3 is pretty darned good just the way it is. If it wasn't a good fit for me I never would have bought it in the first place, so I have no interest in the G4 what so ever.

if he doesnt give u the serial number then dont waste your time... If he does and u verify with glock everything is fine and u still wanna do the trade go ahead... but otherwise i would stick with the gen 3...

 

I'd compare a Gen 4 26 with your Gen 3. Only you know if the backstraps are worth the difference. If you have small hands or large hands I'd say it's worth it, if you have average hands, then maybe not.

I have average hands and like my Gen 4 G23 grip (without a backstrap) better than my older G22. So I was planning to buy a Gen 4 G27 until I found a great deal on a used Gen 3 G27 with TFO night sights. Funny, now it doesn't seem to be much of a difference, I really like the Gen 3 baby Glock. Now with the larger frame sizes I do notice enough of a difference, maybe because of the length and shape of the grip.

 

I would because the smaller grip option of the 4th Gen 26 fits my hand "like it was made for specifically for me!"

The "back hump swell" on the 3rd Gen 26 doesn't do it for me.

He was looking to buy a g26 with NS, so I contacted him, and offered mine, he bought a g26 gen4 instead, but still was interested on mine since mine has night sights. At the beggining he was going just to buy mine, but I offered him a tradre. He said that the doesn´t like the texture of the grip, and mine has night sights his doesn´t. I think it will fit me better, so probably it is a win win situation.

I like the Gen 3 grip in G26/27. The grip swell at back fits into my palm. So I don't expect to be trading either my G26 or 27.

However, the grip of the compact and esp the full size Gen 3 is not that good for me. So I may make some trades in the FUTURE for Gen 4s. But not until I am sure that the problems have been resolved. For me to be assured the problems are resolved it would take at least one year of hardly any negative reports.

Now the Gen 4 G26s have not gotten bad reports. So if I (and I don't) liked the new grip size in Gen 4 G26s I might consider a swap. Really in that model it would be mainly about how the grip worked for ME.

Nope, I'd keep the Gen 3.

 

Not worth it, unless the gen 3 doesn't feel good in your hands and the gen 4 feels great...you are losing on the sights.
