Will OE Dot Connector Improve Gen 3 Trigger?

As per title, looking for a little improvement on the cheap.

It depends on your definition of improvement, it will make the pull lighter/smoother, but the wall/break becomes softer/mushy.

The "dot" connector is +6* (compared to the standard connector).
The "-" connector is +10* (compared to the standard connector).

In a pre Gen 4, the "dot" connector roughly splits the difference between the standard connector and the "-" connector, with a slight bias towards the "-".

In a pre Gen 4, the "dot" connector lightens the trigger pull, but makes the "wall" less firm (just like the "-" does, but not quite as severe).

I tried it, and just like the "-", I thought I liked it at first, but eventually went back to the standard connector.

In a Gen 4 the "." is perfect.

In my Gen 3 Glocks I run a - connector with a NY1 spring. Has about the same weight trigger pull as stock, but a much firmer reset. I like the feel better and its a pretty cheap mod. And supposedly the NY1 spring is less likely to fail.

The main effect of installing the DOT connector in place of the UNMARKED connector is a reduction of peak trigger pull force of about 0.5-lbf.

Glock calls the DOT connector the Gen4 5.5-lbf connector. When Gen4 models first appeared in 2010 they used the UNMARKED connector. Those had about a 6.0-lbf pull because the Gen4 trigger mechanism housing and frame position the connector very slightly more CCW with respect to the trigger bar. That increases the peak pull from any specific connector by about 0.5-lbf. The DOT connector was produced by 2011 to restore Glock's standard 5.5-lbf pull in Gen4 pistols. It produces a 5.0-lbf pull in pre-Gen4 pistols.

I like a 5.0-lbf trigger pull. I use the MINUS connector in my Gen4 Glocks and the DOT connector in my pre-Gen4 Glocks. That produces the same 5.0-lbf pull in each.

Exactly what Mike-M said. When I had the Gen3 19 I put the DOT connector and it reduced the trigger pull. When I switched to the Gen4 19 I installed the MINUS connector but, for my 19 specifically, the Gen4 TB and the MINUS connector was not as smooth or as crisp as the Gen3 trigger. I installed a Gen3 TB and the MINUS connector in my Gen4 19 which made the trigger smoother and crisper.

Old thread but still a good question. I approach my G20 Gen3 as being a COMBAT weapon. Tried lots of connectors and settled on the minus- as it provides the smoothest light trigger I can pull kind of like a revolver with a trigger job. If I want something target with a wall, I just grab the Ruger SR1911 in 10mm with a perfect 2 3/4# trigger. The Ruger is always the choice for anything requiring repeatable accuracy but the Glock wins for anything Combat related.
