Why don't you see bipods on shotguns?

If trying to precision shoot slugs at 100+ yard distances, wouldn't a bipod be beneficial?

I just don't relate to prone for any hunting. Around here it wuld be impossible the see through the brush
In CA for the most part we don't have low brush. It's either grasslands or redwood forests. The places that do have low brush you aren't going to be shooting over it unless you are 10 feet tall.

Of course we aren't a "shotgun only" state.

One thing to consider with slugs in a shotgun and support is POA vs. POI. The relativley thin barrel and relatively slow projectile means that interaction with other than normal support will slightly to significantly change the POI since the slugs takes more time to leave the barrel than the resultant movement from contact with hard support. At 100 yards, I have seen drifts as much as 12 inches.

With the point support of a bi-pod directly underneath the barrel, the effect is usually not significant, but it should be checked before it is relied upon.
