Me too, the A2/A3 reverse stretch pics are beautiful.. When I first saw that pic, I started looking for one and bought it.

Pretty much the same. A few differences: barrel lengths, the markings on the receiver, full auto carrier (most of the clones come w/the FA carrier now) and then the lower pack w/sear.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the k-PDW style receiver and bolt carrier are different from the A2/A3 style, right? So, to build a reverse stretch A3 do you start with a A2/A3 style and change the barrel/fore end, or do you change out the back end of a k-PDW?

The K receivers and full size receivers are different in size, as well as the barrel lenghts, and bolt carriers (and a few others as well). The reverse stretch guns are all hybrids and are mostly made from scratch using a combination of parts from the 2 guns (full size and K). The exception is the recoil rod which is a custom length. Coharie was the primary maker of the reverse stretch guns stopped producing them and they have dried up. Chopstix on HKPro still makes these from scratch and I'm sure a few others could also if you supplied the parts.

As to building one from a completed gun, Im not sure which one (full size or K) it would be best to "start" with.
Good to know. I really think my next SBR will be an MP5 or clone of some variety, and will still likely be a K-PDW. I really like the B&T K stocks you posted earlier. They look a lot nicer than the standard Choate one.

As an aside, who is a good choice to do the build, if I source the parts and receiver flat? Specifically, someone able to do the correct paddle mag release and make sure I avoid the ATF pitfalls I have heard about with the paddle mag release and the front of the receiver.

Is he set up as a Title II manufacturer to do the SBR work?

As for the stock, I wouldn't be as worried about length (I have sasquatch arms, so longer LOP is usually better) as looks. That B&T stock just LOOKS a lot nicer than the standard PDW stock, plus I like the latch mechanism better.
