Why do some Glock pistols have white lettering on the slide and others do not?

Its a mod people do using something like a Crayon or certain types of paint.

Because some people use crayon to color in the engravings. Rub it on so it gets in the lines, the wipe off the excess. Works great. I used silver. It looks more like a gun metal grey when finished, as opposed to the bright white color.

Nope if done right it looks factory. I remember asking the same thing a while back how do you get a slide with the white Glock letters. Some people also do there Mags I don't think they use Crayons thought

I use white crayons on my mags to highlight the caliber. My range building is a little dark in the mornings, so it helps to see the correct mag. so I don't mix 9mm and 40.

some people like ther nice glock to look bad so they draw on it with crayons. Why they do this i have never understood as it makes the gun look absolutely terrible

I agree with most. I didn't buy my guns to decorate. I bought them to shoot. To each his own though.

Thats the beauty of mods. Do what you want to your own stuff. Thats why its yours and not theirs.

Lots of people add things to the gun to make it look "cooler". The white lettering looks good and sometimes breaks up the just plain look. Guns can be like cars, you can customize to look cool except cooler looking cars attract more women that cooler looking guns.

My white letting looks good but it has not got me laid more. :crying:

I know personally I love the way the white lettering and even Orange lettering look on he sides of Glocks but alas I am to lazy to do it.

I was excited to color my first Glock after I got it and ended up hating it once it was done. It just took a few minutes to clean everything out and it was back to factory
