You’re splitting hairs, get out of the rabbit hole.

I have both plates in use and the difference is negligible. The DPP is a **** hair shorter but that’s only because I remember the specs (I think). Find the better deal and order away

 

How does a Holosun 507Comp (w/green reticle) compare to Holosun's SCS for Glock?
I went with the SCS as I didn't want to deal with both a mounting plate &/or taller backup iron sights; a savings by not needing to buy either a plate or sights.

Two quite different things SCS is focused on EDC and self-defense with a rugged housing but very little lens (limited field of view)
While the 507 Comp is a competition with a huge window (biggest field of view on the industry) for fast and easy focused on competition.

The comparison is not fair at all, the SCS is a great sight for an average shooter...
The 507 Comp is for competitors...

 

I went with the scs. Haven’t fired the gun yet but it seems to sit pretty low on the slide. My first optic. Had to see what all the fuss was about

 

The thinner the plate the less threads holding the sight down. I would be more inclined to go with a thicker plate not thinner.

 

What do you mean by this? The plate doesn't have threads. Screws in to the slide a thicker plate then you may need longer screws

 

C&H or FCD is the way to go, proven quality!
DPP is not an option for me...
The thicker the better...

No plate is thinner than just choosing an optic that doesn't require a plate.

 

Without testing, people are just giving opinions.

If they say they are testing, you have no way of knowing how meticulous they were in fastener selection, technique, hardware used for installation, thread locker choice and proper application, how many they've done, how many rounds used to test, under what conditions ....etc.....

Some Yahoo on the internet says one is better than the other-- you are going to measure up that against other opinions? ??
