I suspect a G20, loaded with a max charge of Longshot under the smallest jacketed bullet you can find in 40cal.

If you count flash and bang, maybe a G29, loaded with a full case of Blue Dot under the same smallish projo.

I remember a story of a guy shooting the same above at an indoor range. He touched one off and a guy walking behind the line went down to a knee he was so shaken... not sure if true.

Exactly what I was thinking. I always get looks from people when I shoot my 10"S loaded with long shot or blue dot.

I would imagine 10mm would have a louder report than the other Glock pistol calibers that are available. If I wanted the other guy next to my range table to move over I would shoot my Bushmaster AR-15 that has a Miculek muzzle brake. Damn thing has a sick and nasty blast.

 

G33 is pretty loud. Loudest I've shot.
Never shot 10mm....so I can't say.

 

I carry a G32 regularly. Recently I was next to a guy with a 32C. I thought mine was loud....that thing made people move two lanes over!

 

I'd say the G33, but that G32C would probably bump it up a few db.

 

No doubt, the G33 loaded with 115gr Underwood ammo would be the loudest of them all. I have gotten to the point now where I expect someone to ask me what I'm shooting. They seem to be amazed that such a small little gun can make such a big boom!

 

Especially for bystanders who might be standing next to the pistol (vs. behind it, for the shooter), the G32C I used to own was pretty obnoxious. I really noticed the blast when I let other folks shoot it, and I was standing nearby, slightly off to one side.

 

The .357 sig finds me looking for my muffs even though I have plugs in.

 

What do you guys think is loudest Glock? Just something you can take to a public range and make the guy in the lane next to you move over one.

Hah, had someone try that on me. I pulled out a 12" Contender in 223. They moved over TWO lanes. :animlol:

I am waiting for the Advantage Arms Conversion for Glock.
It is fun to shoot, Loud and a ball of fire.
Probably not as loud as the 32C, but still an attention getter.

 

G33 and G32c are the loudest.

 

Anything with a compensator is going to be loud, but remember a longer barrel equates to more power burnt... I'd bet that a G29 is louder than its "big brother" running the same 10mm loads.

Loudest one I own is my G20, even more so than my G19C.

 

I wear double ear protection to save the little bit of hearing I have left. So it's hard to say. I have a Glock29 and various length barrels that fit it. 10mm is loud! The hotter rounds are louder. I can't say I have noticed the barrel length making a big difference in the sound.

 

My G33 with 125 gr Underwood gets lots of comments but the Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag I had years ago would spit fire out of the barrel cylinder gap and clear off TWO benchs on either side!

 

I do not shoot this inside, but since its facelift and porting she's loud.

 

my G23 pushing a hot 135 will make people look but I bet the 32C will rattle their skulls

 

The C models are definitely louder then the regular models. With that said I would have to say the G20C would reign supreme especially with hot loads.

When I shot my government Colt with 9x25 Nowlin barrel for the first and last time, everyone at the indoor range stopped shooting.

 

I've had a 20 and 30 and it was a wash - like asking which feels colder -5 degs or -10 degs. Both are way too loud.

 

The shortest barreled .357 Sig because it's Glock's loudest caliber, and the shorter barrel keeps the muzzle closer to the "bang".

Glock 33... loudest Glock.

The fastest is the loudest, G31 in an OEM. Conversion barrel, hands down the 9x25.

 

The one you shoot without hearing protection.

 

The most powder with the lightest, smallest slug. The mass of powder makes a bigger "bang", and the quicker the slug leaves the barrel, the closer (in time) you are to the detonation.

 

I just killed a hog and needed a point blank shot to finish her. Glock 20 using 165 gr FP behind 14.7 gr of AA#9 at 1250 fps.

She tried getting up on me so I hit her in the face with the first shot. Complete pass through, requiring a second shot in the back of the head! Game over. Two shots on a cool night and NO RINGING in my ears.

I would guess a hopped up 357 SIG would take this challenge, or perhaps the same in 9mm.

 

Did not know shorter the barrel the louder. So from Glock there is the 20C and 32C, and 29 and 33 for shortest barrels

29 with full power loads is the loudest.

C models are not louder, they just seem louder as they direct sound back to the shooter.

 

Really? Is that because the bang escapes from multiple holes from the barrel with the C's instead of one big hole like normal barrels?
