What is best light kit for gun safe?

Just got my first gun safe, a Heritage Centennial 3966. Looking at picking up a manaboutracks or two for pistol storage. Bolting her down tomorrow, thanks to great input here last week on another thread. The last thing I need is a good light kit. LED I suspect would be best. Wondering if anyone had any light kit they might suggest? Thanks.

Don't forget -- before you bolt it down, glue the **** outta the underside to add adhesion to the mounting surface. (Only do this if you never plan on moving it, though.)

I rent so I don't bolt anything down. There's only so much one can do.

I use adhesive backed battery operated lights from Walmart or the hardware store. Several LED's, and either touch the light to turn it on or press it. They're inexpensive, and can be put in each compartment in the safe, along the top, under the upper lockers, etc. AA or AAA batteries, and they last a long time. They're sure convenient for getting around in the safe(s) without needing to turn on the room light, though.

I picked up a couple of LED light with motion and photocell sensing. There are probably 8 LEDs per light, powered by 4 to 6 AA's. Mounts with two screws and has a pivot base. I mounted them on the door and they shine inside when the door opens.

They seem to work pretty well. And they were cheap - maybe $10-$15 for a set of 2.

These are the same thing I got from Costco.
Wonderful.

In the photo, you'll see one attached to the door, shining on the ammo.
There is another underneath the shelf above the rifles.
There is better illumination than appears in the photo - and this is in a really dark part of the basement.

12 foot rope light. $15

I did a rope light inside the doors frame of the safe. Used the little square self adhesive pads and zip ties every 4-5 inches.

Then tried lining up a push button switch on the door frame (like a refrigerator light switch). Crushed two of them. Its really hard to get all those things lined up just right. I even tried taking all the stuff out and crawling in there to get things properly aligned. Felt foolish and got even more pissed and gave up.

Mounted a motion detector in the back top corner of the safe. Set if for a 5 minute cycle. Open door, light comes on. Light stays on as long as you are doing things. If you stay motionless too long, just wave your hand, light comes back on.

I have the liberty motion sensor light pair from Cabelas... they are just ok. I have a small safe and they don't light it up too well and the battery life is pretty bad. They velcro on in any location and the motion sensor setting is nice.

I went with the kit mentioned in my last post. Will post a review and pic here when I get it in. Thanks for the thoughts.
