I have "gaffer's tape" laying around for miscellaneous use and have used it for some extra "gription" at times. Here's a link, although I've never used/heard of this source:

And I've also got the "Goon Tape" brand of tape laying around too, which I've occasionally used. It's different from gaffer's tape, but also could be used on a firearm's grip:

As with many other folks on this thread, I don't usually use anything on my Glocks grips, especially since the Gen4 and Gen5 grip textures came out, although I do still have a few Gen3 Glocks. I just haven't been using any additional grip enhancements lately.

Instead of tape, rubber bands.
I used rubber bands on some revolvers many moons ago, my dad(RIP) was a big proponent.
Now I use the talons. However, as someone mentioned, no need on my new to me G30.4. I also haven’t felt the need on my baby Glocks- 43 and 42.
But since my .40’s are so SNAPPY they all have talons. I like the pro’s.

Nothing on any self-defense gun. For competition guns, I buy rolls of skateboard grip tape on eBay. I made a pattern and I just cut out a new grip when I need it.

Talons for me. Have them on almost every semi I own. Even use it on the blackstrap of my revolvers.

People mention the AGrip, and the AGrip material is probably the best of the grip coverings on the market. But the downsides of AGrip are that the maker has his own concept of how to cover a grip, meaning, they recommend covering everything including the magazine release. If you don't like that, you have to do a LOT of trimming and cutting to make it fit the way you want it.

I've used it before, and I've used some of the others. They're not bad, but they're not that much of an improvement over a rubber band.

I've installed it both ways. Going over the mag release and getting use to that feel takes a long time.

Cutting around the release requires a damn near perfect install and a really sharp tool as the material is some tough stuff.

Either way, it's the surest grip I've ever experienced wet, slimy or dry.
