I was in the Army 1988-1995 as a 63B, LWVM. Here are the Army issue uniforms I wore then:
-BDU, Battle Dress uniform, woodland camo, summer and winter versions
-Army Dress Greens, Class A and B
-Army Gray PT, sweat with hoods and shorts, gray Spadex optional
-mechanics coveralls, olive drab, with black steel-toed shoes
My criticsms and compliments of those uniforms.
The mechanics coveralls should have had name tapes, US Army tapes and sewn-on/pin-on rank.
The Army Dress Greens looked totally cheesy. Some soldiers thought they looked geeky. I much prefer the pink-and-greens like General Patton wore in World War II. Cochran big-toe jump boots looked awesome when spit shined. I also had winter Matterhorns, Corfram patent low quarters and green jungle boots.
Army MOPP gear and PT uniforms should also indicate service branch, surname and rank.
I would prefer the summertime khakis as worn in Vietnam to be bought back as well. I hated not having these sharp khakis while in the Army. These just look totally smart during hot weather.

These new Army Service Uniforms look totally stupid. They just don't look ARMY. Green and khaki look ARMY to me.
