I know it sounds dumb too many? but a 26x (26 slide 19 grip) is the one new Glock I’d like to see out, and I think would be great for me.
Now I love my 26 a lot, likely my favorite of all Glocks. But even I realize I’m never going to have as secure or fast a draw or as good a retention with it as a gun with more grip length (more capacity also never hurts). Reloads are also a bit sketchy as I have to kind of grip the gun like a teacup to get my pinky and ring finger out of the way of the incoming magazine.
Extended magazines or grip sleeves? Well they fix the draw issue..sort of..but leave you with a wonky backstrap hump in the middle of the grip, and do absolutely nothing for the reload issue.
Regular 19? Well it’s ok by me, but as I carry outside waist band (IWB never worked in 20 years of Glock carrying for me) shorter slide is better. Decreased sight radius is no big loss, 26 slide has plenty and even a bit of an advantage in older eyes like mine. Lighter weight 26 slide benifit, but still enough to avoid the 43/43x greater muzzle flip seems good to go. Likely even better with the longer grip attached.
Not that Glock listens, but just pontificating my desire I guess
