Weighted grip plug

Looking to add some weight to my Glock 22 for USPSA Limited class. Anyone use the Thug Plug from the Glockstore? Does it help with recoil for faster shooting?

I’ve got the Thug plug in 2 pistols. I haven’t really tried it without the plug but the extra weight has to help a little being at the end of the grip away from the pivot point of the pistol.

One thing of note is that they weighed significantly less than advertised. I’ve post the numbers somewhere and can look for them if you’re interested. I feel you need a plug of some kind for the gun games and the Pearce plug I bought the other day for a G19 fits terribly if you’re interested in smoothing the mag feed path.

Don't. Get a Dawson Ice magwell and the Dawson mag extensions.

The G22's light weight is great for speed, reduced swing weight. That's it's advantage, along with light recoil. Trying to beat the heavies with their own game, doesn't seem to work.

An SS guide rod should be the only other thing that you need.
