So, I stopped in an LGS today. That underfolder that has been calling my name...was maybe hanging on the wall low in a corner. Just waiting for me. A WASR 10 UF (which from everything I can tell was just a WASR 10/63 with a Folding stock.

I picked it up; Stock was nice and stiff. Wood was excellent. Felt solid in every way. I have half a mind to take a steel mag back to the shop and check for wobble...

Did I mention my birthday is this weekend?

Price is more than I'd like, but after Shipping & Transfer, the extra cost to feel it before I buy is maybe worth it...

We'll see what happens!

I wouldn’t worry about mag wobble as mags vary from mag to mag. I would bring a few mags to make sure they all fit. But that’s just me. I have 3 AKs and some mags fit tighter and some fit with various degree of wobble. But every mag fits and functions.

Mag wobble is a AK mag catch design thing. The corollary of mag wobble is mag TOO tight, won't fit.

I haven't had one that has wobbled so much it affected functioning, still, less is better.

Poly mags are the ones ewhere I have ran into "doesn't fit"

This gun seems like it was made on a good day though...I'm VERY optimistic.
