Hi guys!
I'm about to order an URBAN HOLSTER G2, but I have this small concern:

Is it ok to use the CADET model for my Glock 23 Gen3? Their brochure states that my gun corresponds to their CAPTAIN model.

I hope someone here is familiar with my concern and be able to help me. Thanks a lot! - Donnie

How to lose a gunfight, giving the threat your gun as a part of your draw
The G2 has a magnet that stops that from happening. That video is an original UC, which did not have that magnet. The gun does not flop out anymore, unless you're using one of those all plastic "Die Hard" Glocks I guess.

I have the Capt. for my 19 and it works fine, but it's not as comfortable as the Lt. I use for my 43. I think the UC works a bit better with subcompacts. I don't use either as often as I use a more traditional OWB, but they're a nice option.

The UCs are pretty subjective though. A lot of people don't like them, but some people do. I'd advise you try one before buying, because you might not like it. If you don't have a lot of other holsters already, I'd probably say try some more traditional options first before buying the UC.

Don't downsize on the holster!!!!

My favorite Holsters are my urban carry G2's. I have Worn one every day for the last several months, probably longer than six, so they're still pretty new. But, me, and my friend whom I helped with a similar situation to me by giving him my spare ( I like them so well I have a spare ) both found out that if you even order the same size Urban Carry recommends they only draw standing up. If you order one size bigger then they will draw sitting down and are more comfortable as the gun hangs lower and doesn't hit your ASIS when you bend forward and sitting.( The bone I'm speaking of is the one that sticks out in the front of your pelvis on each side at your hip ) I'm a chiropractor and wear it every day as I'm treating patients. Only had one person look at it funny and just yesterday someone recognized what it was for the first time.

So for me with a G 26 with a 15 round magazine or a G 43 with an ETS nine round magazine for the ghost +2 mag extensions ( those three are the same size footprint ) The captain is the only way to go! When I put my G 19 in it I get less than satisfactory results. When I go with the G 19 in the bigger one than the captain, I think it's called the colonnel then I get good results again. The problem is, that one is on the big side but it does work and I wore it every day for three weeks.
My friend had a M and P shield that is of similar size to the G 43 and he also needed to size up to the captain. Any other questions feel free to answer this reply.

THis is about the 5th time I've heard people actually wanting this on a forum. Whatever Floats Your Boat.

NOT FOR ME !

Thank you Dr. Fast for taking time to answer my concern. I really appreciate it. It did really help me in deciding to buy.

Nothing about this product ever really excited me... to each his/her own...

Don't do the urban carry. They're terrible. Nigh impossible to draw from.
