I picked up a two tone glock 19 with a flat(color) silver slide several years ago. When I asked the salesman about the gun, he had no idea where or who had done the slide. It almost looks powder coated, but i dont think thats what it is. I just got a gen 4 19 and would like to do the same to it. Does anyone know if this came from the factory like this or was done by someone else? any help would be great.

It's was done by someone else. Every Glock slide that leaves the Glock factory comes in black only. By the way welcome to Glocktalk. :wavey:

Chances are nickel boron was applied after the fact.
I have a Talo EXO bought NIB two tone.
But she really didn't come from the Glock factory like that.
Talo bought blocks of new Glocks, had Fail Zero finish the
slide/barrel and added Ameriglo NS.
Then repackaged the pistol and sold it as NIB to distributors.
Several other third parties will apply a nickel boron finish that looks like you have described also.
