I think it depends on what you mean by which one do you like but speaking on a cool factor or looks and not practicality or functionality then for your gun I would say I like the TLR-1, I think I like the look of the TLR-7A more to be flush like on a G19/23 or something like an M&P 4”. Here are a couple pics of mine

Though I’ve been curious about the 1HL myself, at first I didn’t not like it going past the slide but I think that it’s growing on me

I just bought bought the new M&P 2.0 compact optics ready with the flat trigger and im not sure if I should run the 7A or buy the 1HL, I’ll need to figure that out before I buy a holster for the setup

For everyday carry, then it will also be my nightstand gun as well,

To be honest though I was debating on not even attaching any light for carry, not sure how comfortable it will be to even carry the 7A but I want to train with an all around gun, I don’t want to come home from work then have to attach the light every night and don’t want to attach/detach a light every night, I know 1HL is probably overkill for most of my application

I own a small business in beautiful Detoilet, I mean Detroit, I work 12 hour shifts sometimes, do you think it will be comfortable to carry 7Awith optic all day? I plan to buy OWB though because not worried about printing

I don't judge most gun things by looks, for me its function over form. I prefer the TLR1 switch and I personally like the brightness of the 1000 lumen TLR1-HL. I have a few of them for different guns in the safe. As for carry with a light? Some would say its not necessary but its a personal choice you have to make. I noticed that you are putting a light on a Glock 40 cal. It will cost you but you must test the light you pick with your carry ammo and be sure it will function with the light. There are documented cases with Glock, specifically .40 cal Glocks and WMLs. I also believe there is still a disclaimer on the Streamlight sight about this as well. The light causes the frame to be more ridgid which speeds up the slide, which causes failure to feed. So again, you will need to spend a good amount of money on ammo to be sure this setup will work and not get you killed if you ever do need your gun.

Side note, I can check my holster drawer but I think I have a Vedder LightTuck for sale that is for this gun with the TLR1 light setup.

I appreciate the heads up, I have read about that,

I only attached the 7A to the 23 to show patmenace how I like the flush look on the 19/23 Frame opposed to the 17/22 frame.

my current carry for years has been the gen 4 23 with no attachments but I just ordered the M&P9 2.0 compact 4” optics ready with the new flat trigger design, I also bought the holosun 508t green dot and I was debating on throwing on the 7A or not before buying a holster and this will be my new main carry. I will need to train with the red dot though as I’m new to them
