I have a threaded barrel from SilencerCo that has been great, recommend 100%.

As for cans, I went with a SiCo Hybrid since I can use it on most of my pistols and rifles.

I have lots of threaded barrels. All different and everyone is just fine.

I have an Octane 45HD and do not recommend it , due to blowback when mounted to a pistol.

Sucks to shoot with a bunch of crap hitting you in the face. I have found some of my pistols that do not blow back as much and am using certain ammo to minimize it, but to some degree, it is always there. I am shopping for a new can now.

I hope the Feds get the Form 4 E-file up and running soon, the last stamp took 8 months.

I have a Lone Wolf threaded barrel on the G21 - it works great. Tthe ATI barrel on the 17m however, is an instant jam-o-matic kit. It is now back with them for "review"

Most consider Glock-made barrels to be the best for Glock-made pistols. Buy one direct from Glock for $155 (.5x28 RH):

MikeM, are those true Glock OEM barrels, or "Glock barrels" meaning made by a third party to fit Glock? They don't look like the old Glock barrels I recall seeing. I struggled to find true OEM barrels for quite a while, and only found third party sellers (which I ended up purchasing instead). Thanks!

VDI, Triton, Lone Wolf, KKM, Silencerco, AAC, CMC, Barstow, and others offer them.

The only products sold on the Glock USA sales site are Glock OEM.

So the URL I cite in post #2 is genuine OEM Glock.

Glock has only recently started making a line of optional threaded barrels in several calibers, including some in Gen5 configuration which differ from pre-Gen5 because of MARKING rifling and not having the G19 VAR1 barrel hood. Glock also sells "while supplies last" metric thread barrels from their 2014 run of four TB models. Of those, G19TB barrels have been sold out for more than a year.

I wish I had seen these. I went with a SilencerCo barrel a few months ago. It's OK, but I had to do some major polishing on several of the sharp edges. I wouldn't call what I did "fitting," but it took about an hour of polishing/testing with Flitz and a Dremel and a pack of felt/cloth polishing tips! I also wasn't aware Glock made the barrels in 1/2 x 28 thread.

Thanks. I had looked and grumbled about the lack of Glock OEM barrels for a long time. I had given up on them. Good to know they at least put out some of them. I may buy a few just to have.
